"Patently in error"


That's British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's view of President Trump.


Johnson commenting on Trump's view that Johnson's Brexit "deal" prevents the UK from having a real and meaningful trade deal with the United States.


Speaking to the media at the White House today the President urged Mr. Johnson to work towards an agreement with the EU that will allow large amounts of trade with the United States and to work together with Nigel Farage to that end.   His comments are here.....LINK



Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage will not stand as a candidate for the House of Commons in the December 12th General Election.


Appearing on the BBC's "Andrew Marr Show" Sunday Farage said he can best help the cause of Brexit helping the 600 other Brexit Party candidates, noting that he does not want to be involved in politics forever.




Farage noted that the Brexit Party has to contest the election because Boris Johnson is not delivering a real and meaningful exit from the European Union.


Farage said:



"If Boris Johnson was going for a genuine Brexit, we wouldn't need to fight against him in this election"




Tires burned and streets blocked Sunday in Baghdad as the anti-government protests in Iraq continued.


Tens of thousands in the streets of Iraq's capital with claims from media reports of anti-government and anti-Iran sentiment among the protesters.


Also reports from mainstream media quoting "witnesses" as saying that "dozens" of protesters attacked the Iranian consulate in Karbala, Iraq Sunday night bringing down an Iranian flag and replacing it with an Iraqi one.


In Lebanon on Sunday thousands rallied in support of the Lebanese President Michel Aoun with the president calling for "national unity" then anti-government forces came out onto the streets of Beirut in large numbers calling for a general strike tomorrow.


The street demonstrations in Iraq and Libya appear to be part of a broader anti-Iran strategy from foreign forces as exemplified by the tone of this opinion piece....LINK... published by "Arab News" in Saudi Arabia.


A very blunt message from Iran's Supreme Leader approaching the 40th anniversary of the attack and hostage taking at the US Embassy in Tehran.


Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had this to say regarding the United States among other things:


"The same wickedness, the same brutishness, the same compulsion to establish international dictatorship and the same endless urge for hegemony still exist in America today, albeit with more savagery and cruelty....."


Ayatollah Khamenei made his comments today during a meeting with university students.

Kurdish forces say they repelled an attack on the M4 highway in northeastern Syria today.  The attack launched by Turkish backed militants.   More from "Southfront"......LINK


The Russian general in charge of reconciliation of conflicting sides in Syria says the "Free Syrian Army" allies of Turkey opened fire on a convoy of US troops today on the M4 highway.   No injuries reported.   More from the Tass News Agency......LINK



US military forces are returning to two bases in northeastern Syria they evacuated last month during the Turkish military operation there.


The US says it intends to protect the oil fields of northeastern Syria and the US forces are not going back to the border areas now occupied by Turkish troops and allied forces as well as Syrian troops and Russian military police.


A French soldier killed in an attack in the African nation of Mali Saturday.  The Islamic State claiming responsibility.


The killing came a few days after France's defense minister announced an attack by the French military on ISIS in Syria.


Five hurt in a knife attack in Hong Kong at the site of Sunday's pro-democracy protest.   The attack at a shopping center happened after the protest was dispersed by riot police firing tear gas.


One person bitten in the ear when he tried to stop the attacker from leaving.


In Bolivia President Evo Morales says this regarding his political opponents:


"They want people to be killed by the police and the military"


The country's Interior Minister Carlos Romero saying that a "coup strategy" is underway with plans for a violent event near the presidential palace in La Paz Monday night.


The dispute over presidential election results showing that Mr. Morales won continues with opposition candidate Carlos Mesa calling for new elections to be supervised by a new electoral body and observed more closely by the international community.


An eastern leader in the city of Santa Cruz  Luis Fernandez Camacho going further saying Morales must "step down" by 6 pm Eastern US time tomorrow (Monday) or "decisive action" will be taken there.

The latest opinion polls in Sweden show a close contest for first place between the Social Democrats who lead the coalition in the national government and the anti-mass immigration opposition Sweden Democrats.

The CEO of McDonalds, Steve Easterbrook, leaving the company because of a consensual relationship with an employee.


The board of the company deciding to fire Easterbrook on Friday.


He sent an email to employees saying in part:


"Given the values of the company, I agree with the board that it is time for me to move on."
