President Trump pardoning two members of the US military in war crimes cases tonight and restoring the rank of another convicted in a war crimes case.
Army First Lieutenant Clint Lorance has served 6 years of a 19 year sentence for ordering his soldiers to shoot unarmed Afghan civilians with two of them killed.
Army Major Matthew Golsteyn was awaiting trial for allegedly murdering an Afghan man in 2010 who was suspected of making bombs.
Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher is restored to his previous rank. Gallagher found guilty of posing for a picture with an enemy corpse in Iraq, but acquitted of murder and other charges last July.
Mainstream media reports said the Pentagon advised the President against taking action in the cases.

The reaction of President Trump on Twitter today after Roger Stone, longtime Republican political operative who worked for Mr. Trump at one time, was convicted on federal charges stemming from the Robert Mueller investigation.
The jury verdicts reached on the second day of deliberation involved charges of witness tampering, obstruction of justice and lying to Congress.
Stone could be imprisoned for up to 50 years. He remains free until sentencing next February under a gag order.

The Duke of York denies that allegation in the interview and is quoted as saying that "I kick myself on a daily basis" over his relationship with Epstein.
