In Paris the government shutting down the debate and forcing a Social Security budget bill through without a vote in the National Assembly.
In the weeks ahead the government is expected to roll out the details about "pension reform' currently conducting consultations with various business and trade union groups.
The controversial plan to raise France's retirement age and change pension benefits will move through the National Assembly and Senate next year the government's goal to pass it by the end of next summer.
Today President Macron wading into the subject of rotating power outages this winter. He says if the French can reduce all power consumption by 10 percent rotating outages will not be needed.
The government-media spin on power outages is that 40 percent of the population will not affected because they are on the same power lines as key facilities like hospitals.
Also the message is that planned rotating outages will last for no longer than two hours.
