FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 173: MACRON MAKES IT OFFICIAL, LE PEN SOLID SECOND IN POLLING YELLOW VESTS AND HEALTH FREEDOM ADVOCATES CONTINUE PROTESTS
This week French President Emmanuel Macron released a letter making official his bid for a second term as President of France.
The first round of the election April 10th with the second round between the top two finishers on April 24th.
Going into his announcement Macron was speaking with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the role of "mediator".
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz played that role in a conversation yesterday.
Polling data in France since the Ukraine story took over the news cycle showing new strength for Marine Le Pen she is now in a solid second place for the first round and polling for the second round puts her in the neighborhood of 45 percent.
And mainstream media this weekend touting new polling showing Macron at 30.5 percent in the first round with Marine Le Pen at 14.5 with the second round vote breaking for Macron 59-41.
This week the Yellow Vests are again on the streets of France this is the gathering in Paris before the actual protest begins you can see those who got there early...
Protests in France of the Yellow Vests focused not just on economic issues in France but on the COVID restrictions including the vaccine passport which not surprisingly will be suspended just in time for France's presidential election campaign.
The suspension set to take effect March 14th.
Back to Paris a big lineup of militarized police today for the protest and Jerome Rodrigues Yellow Vests media personality injured by a police flash bang round in the eye asks the question in a video:
"When The Yellow Vests Are More Frightening Than Putin?"...
In the south of France the protest march this week on the waterfront in Toulon and later in this five minute plus video you see the procession in the streets.
The label on the video notes that the protest involves an alliance of the Yellow Vests with other groups...
Back to Paris this video shows the line of militarized police in front of the Yellow Vests march in the streets today...
There were other protests in France today in support of Ukraine claiming to be 'anti-war' protests and featured prominently in mainstream media coverage.

At 15 minutes into the video you see the speakers at a rally people who lost their jobs because of the vaccine mandates in France...
And at Besancon near the Swiss border the weekly protests continued you speakers at a rally followed by the march of hundreds of people. One of the signs in the march reading:

In spite of the drama generated over Ukraine there are still thousands of people in France concerned about their economic plight and their loss of personal liberty during COVID protesting on the streets in towns and cities across the country.
