CANADAIAN PRIME MINISTER JUSTIN TRUDEAU CHARACTERIZES OTTAWA COVID POLICY PROTEST-1/31/2022-BBC NEWS
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appeared today continuing the steady stream of government and media disparagement of the trucker led protest that has engulfed Canada's capital city and led to a blockade at a US border crossing in Alberta.
Trudeau wanted to put the message out that government is continuing to function with his participation virtual due to his own COVID exposure from family members and his own positive test for it today.
One issue Trudeau brought up Ukraine with Parliament considering the issue in the coming hours.
The last time tensions were so high over Ukraine was 2014 leading into and during the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
During the Olympics an incident during street protests in Kiev against a pro-Russian government.
Gunfire into the protest crowd that killed and wounded dozens.
The incident was a trigger for the overthrow of the pro-Russian government.
That in turn led to Russian annexation of Crimea and a Russian separatist revolt in eastern Ukraine.
Now at the time of the Winter Olympics in Beijing in 2022 one can speculate that a major event is on the horizon.
An incident that may make 2014 look minor by comparison.
This incident could even rise to the level of incidents in Syria involving chemical weapons attributed by Western nations to Syria, Russia and Iran that led to Western military strikes.
If there is Western military action over an alleged attack by Russia or its proxy separatist forces in Ukraine then the much talked about Russian invasion may be triggered.
Many things are being said about these protests over COVID policy but don't be surprised if Russia is blamed as well as China in the coming days. Some material has already been published along those lines.
Watch out something big may be lurking in the wings that will give governments license for crackdowns on COVID protests in the name of national security.

Monday saw the arrival of protest convoys vehicles and some trucks in Canberra Australia. Hundreds of protesters ended up at Parliament House Monday.

Its 1115 am in Canberra Tuesday morning, 715 pm Monday evening here in the Eastern US.
Australia's capital city a live stream from outside the building where Scott Morrison the Australian Prime Minister is to be holding a news conference.
And there are hundreds outside at least protesting right now.

Canberra a more spread out semi-rural city than Ottawa is it has been Australia's capital city for less than a century. Lots of trees and shade its summertime Down Under.

Joel Gilmour reporting from Canberra that protesters are committed to staying in Canberra until the COVID mandates end in Australia.
Plenty of emotion in the crowd even some shouts to "Arrest Scomo" that is the nickname of Prime Minister Morrison.

And at 805 pm Eastern US Time (1205 pm Tuesday Canberra time) Scott Morrison arrived riding in a white car with black tinted windows and a white van trailing entering a parking area at the side of the press club building with a cordon of police on each side of the driveway and shouting protesters nearby.

That's the talking point of mainstream media at his hour talks said to be underway between protest organizers and the Ottawa Police.
We hear on the streets people saying they are in Ottawa "for the duration" until mandates end.

is being sung by the crowd outside the front of the press club building in Canberra.
I'm monitoring ABC News Channel (Link Above) and they will show Prime Minister Scott Morrison's remarks inside if he makes them.
Morrison is inside and about to speak now to the National Press Club of Australia.
He talks the military, aboriginal people and women including his Foreign Minister in the opening part of his speech.
Economics and salutes to health care workers, small businesses, farmers.
COVID loss of life acknowledged and the inability to gather together (COVID restrictions) to remember lives lost.
Morrison has his pre-election message while people outside have a message stop forcing people to mask, get COVID shots and the list goes on.
UPDATE CANADA: THE US BORDER CROSSING BLOCKADE IN COUTTS, ALBERTA
Some 100 trucks involved in a blockade on Highway 4 in Coutts, Alberta at the US border crossing.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police pushing for truckers to end the blockade.
The RCMP says they were in a position to take action with tactical units against the protest today but stood down in favor of talks.
They met with truckers and presented their message attempting to coerce a backdown of the protest. You see and hear the RCMP speaking directly to the truckers...

THE CALL IS OUT FOR ALL AUSTRALIANS TO COME TO CANBERRA THIS SATURDAY AND PROTEST AT THE OLD PARLIAMENT HOUSE AT 11 AM (7 PM EASTERN US TIME FRIDAY)
Right before 3 pm in Canberra Tuesday and 11 pm Monday night in the Eastern US Scott Morrison's white car and accompanying white van got out of the parking lot at the Press Club with some protesters approaching it one man got to shout through the window.
Other individuals leaving the Press Club like Deputy Prime Barnaby Joyce and other top officials a chance for the protesters to shout their concerns to them.
Police have a cordon stronger at the parking lot exit less so down the street.
"Everybody's coming to Canberra"
one of the shouts in the crowd. A lot of people making comments about pedophiles around the politicians in the Australian capital today.
Sexual abuse an issue in Australia including allegations involving the megachurch Hillsong the church Prime Minister Morrison identifies with.
Shouts calling for Graham Hood to be the Prime Minister of Australia.
