Government officials say 19 arrests were made today and the three police officers were hurt in the "incidents" that were isolated compared to the overall tenor of the protests nationwide. Members of the media attacked in a few instances and BFM-TV was reporting an attack on a pharmacist in Montpellier.
The origins of the "incidents" some of them involved anarchists who usually show up and engage in confrontations with police and others not known now. Do they originate in government efforts to discredit peaceful protesters opposing COVID policies like the vaccine passport?
Tonight the mainstream media in France describing threats aimed a politicians, operators of restaurants and doctors over the vaccine passport. The notion of a divided society that may slide into violence is presented.
