Former National Front (Now National Rally) deputy leader Florian Philippot drew attention to himself with a speech to some 11-thousand people in Paris last Saturday at a rally opposing vaccine passports in the country.

The National Rally leader Marine Le Pen, who is the leading opposition candidate in next year's presidential election, has denounced  President Emmanuel Macron's vaccine passport ("Health Pass") policy as a

                                "backward step for personal freedoms"

This week Le Pen denounced protocols developed by the Minister of Education Jean-Michel Blanquer that involve removal of unvaccinated students from classrooms and school activities.    She posted on Twitter:

"The quiet violence of Mr. Blanquer's announcements, which contemplates the exclusion of unvaccinated minor students from school trips among other things, is just revolting.    How can we even think of doing that?"

A new health pass law effect a week from Monday (August 9th).

Today more protests in France with Yellow Vests ranks swelled by Health Freedom advocates.

The government actually coming up with an intelligence estimate of 140-thousand protesters for today....

Perhaps the government and media playing up numbers ahead of time will help to reduce the impact of the large crowds protesting today from their point of view.

The official government estimate Saturday evening 204,090 protesters across France with 14,250 in Paris.

At Rennes in northwestern France some 2,900 protested today according to government estimate, almost four thousand protesting in Nantes.

The number of protesters in Toulon in southern France some 13,000....

3,200 protested in Strasbourg in eastern France....VIDEO LINK  5,500 demonstrators estimated by police in Bordeaux.

Government officials say 19 arrests were made today and the three police officers were hurt in the "incidents" that were isolated compared to the overall tenor of the protests nationwide.    Members of the media attacked in a few instances and BFM-TV was reporting an attack on a pharmacist in Montpellier.

The origins of the "incidents" some of them involved anarchists who usually show up and engage in confrontations with police and others not known now.     How and why they show up how and why these "incidents" happen worth investigation and questions being asked?     Do they originate in government efforts to discredit peaceful protesters opposing COVID policies like the vaccine passport?

Tonight the mainstream media in France describing threats aimed a politicians, operators of restaurants and doctors over the vaccine passport.     The notion of a divided society that may slide into violence is presented.

Taxes on your utility bills like they are doing in Canada, more gasoline taxes or even mileage taxes based on your "carbon footprint".

NEWSDUMP UPDATE:  THE NEW VAXX GOAL IS 70 PERCENT "FULLY VACCINATED" IN THE USA

The government website that BNO Newsroom takes from was using the 60 percent "fully vaccinated" goal Joe Biden was hyping in recent months.    A goal with a July 4th target that has been missed by a wide margin.

We stand at 49.52 percent "fully vaccinated" in the USA with the pace picking up a little I would guess in six days the media will proclaim:

             "50 Percent Fully Vaccinated In The USA"

But the new goal they have for "fully vaccinated" is now 70 percent and they project that by May 4, 2022.     We shall see if all the new vaxx promotion or "propaganda" will help push this forward.

In my book collection is "The Story Of 'The New York Times' 1851-1951" by Meyer Berger and what a story starting with the Whig who became a Republican Henry Raymond in the drivers seat of the newspaper.   Raymond called a "Godfather" of the Republican Party in its early day.   He was a member of the House among other things.

George Jones was an interim leader of the Times following Raymond early death in 1869.

The Times fell on hard times in the 1890's and Adolph Ochs rode in to take over what was left of it and he built it into its greatness handing the reins to his son-in-law Captain A.M. "Punch" Sulzberger.

The stories of how the news was gathered in this book.

Also how the "Times" beat its competitors like Joseph Pulitzer's "New York World" and William Randolph Hearst's "New York Journal" with a straight news format instead of the "Yellow News" they published.

A thousand police will be ready to stamp out any protest that materializes this Sautrday July 30th in Sydney, Australia opposing the coronavirus lockdown.    That is the word from the top police official in the state of New South Wales...

Last Saturday's protest appeared to catch the authorities off guard.    At first the crowd said to be some 35-hundred but later assessments pointed to a larger crowd.    ABC in Australia estimated the crowd at 15,000 in a story published in recent days.

Perhaps the authorities laid back to allow the protest to happen.     Some videos of the protest taken down by social media companies last weekend with others allowed to stay.    

They included videos showing what looked like fighting and violence including attacks on police horses.

Those images pounced on by media organizations in Australia to go along with denunciations of the protest from political leaders including Premier Gladys Berejiklian of New South Wales and Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

Allowing last weekend's protest to happen just happened to create negative images that could serve government interest in discrediting opposition to the lockdown and reducing the crowds at any future protest.

Were individuals planted inside the protests to stage the incidents is a serious question that needs serious consideration?     The situation in Sydney is one that government officials consider to be an "existential" one involving a grave emergency that threatens lives.

Of course "mental health" has been a mantra in the COVID situation and its also possible that some "mental health" issues revealed themselves on Australia's streets with last Saturday's protests across the country in locations including Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

The vaccination stats right now for the US showing a slight uptick from last weekend but a slow move upward overall.

"Partial vaccination" rose by .15 percent today to 56.75 percent and "full vaccination" rose by .09 percent to 49.09 percent....BNO NEWSROOM TWITTER

President Joe Biden had pinned his hopes on a 60 percent "full vaccination" of the United States by July 4th.     This goal has failed by a wide margin.     That total may be reached if the pace continues to uptick towards the .15 percent "partial vaccination" rise today by sometime in November.

The restrictive measures like masks creeping in and when one considers the information coming out of Israel regarding vaccine effectiveness suggesting it loses a lot after six months the situation here in the US could change quite a bit when it comes to vaccinated people getting the coronavirus in the months ahead.

Be on the lookout for more restrictive measures in the weeks and months ahead.

Politicians had hoped to get COVID-19 in their rearview so they could work on the 2022 elections without it, but that is increasingly not likely.

This protest in Rome was one of 80 such protests across Italy this weekend in opposition to vaccine passports being called the "Green Pass" in Italy.   Those passports would restrict access to public venues to the vaccinated.

Peaceful Health Freedom protests were held in nations around the world Saturday with some of the protests getting media attention like those in Sydney, Australia and Paris, France where violent incidents manifested themselves.
