NEXTRUSH UNPLUGGED: ELECTION 2020

(FIRST POSTING EARLY TUESDAY AM, LATEST POSTS AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE)

(MAJOR CONTENTS TO BE POSTED AROUND MIDNIGHT EASTERN US TIME TONIGHT)

(6AM EASTERN US TIME)

President Trump is still leading or has won in states with 282 electoral votes while in Wisconsin a dumping of votes from Milwaukee overnight giving Joe Biden an 8-thousand vote lead.  89 percent of the vote counted statewide with 95 percent of Milwaukee's vote reported to have been counted.

(130 AM EASTERN US TIME)

The margin here in Pennsylvania for Donald Trump is some 700,000 votes with one-third of the vote in PA said to be uncounted at this point that's some 2.25 million votes that Biden will have to win 1.55 million of them to beat Trump.    Seems like a tall order at this point.

President Trump at 212 electoral votes right now and adding up Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Alaska one sees 80 additional electoral votes for a total of 292....

(120 AM EASTERN US TIME)

The price of oil is rising and no doubt rising on the confidence that the pro-oil President of the United States Donald Trump will eventually be re-elected....TASS

We are also seeing the MSM admitting that Donald Trump won Texas.

(105 AM EASTERN US TIME)

Delay the vote results delay delay delay in Georgia as well as here in the Keystone State but add up the states where Trump is shown leading and he goes over 270 electoral votes and wins the Presidency for a second term.

(1250 AM  EASTERN US TIME)

The final outcome of the Presidential Election will be delayed for quite a while and here in Pennsylvania the Philadelphia vote being held up with mail-in votes being held up but there are many outstanding votes in all kinds of counties across the state including the ones that support Trump.

(1150 PM EASTERN US TIME)

Some projections Donald Trump winning Ohio and Joe Biden winning Arizona those coming from Fox News.

In the Senate races easy wins for Lindsey Graham in South Carolina and Mitch McConnell in Kentucky.   I got so many desperate texts from Lindsey saying the race as a toss-up and he needed my money.    So much for that.

The flipped seats in Colorado Republican Cory Gardner losing to Democrat former Governor John Hickenlooper and in Alabama former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville winning that seat for the GOP defeating incumbent Democrat Doug Jones.

(1135 PM EASTERN US TIME)

A long drawn out unwillingness in the mainstream media to declare Florida in the Trump column tonight but it's obvious the President won there.    Inside the statewide results a big shift in Miami-Dade of some 10 percent of the vote Trump's way from 2016 when Hillary Clinton won the county with 63 percent of the vote.   Joe Biden only getting 53 percent there this year.

The President shoring up Latino support in Miami one example his interview with news anchor Jose Diaz-Balart of Telemundo the Spanish language sister network of NBC earlier this year.

The President stressing the opportunity side of legal immigration there with less focus on border walls and keeping illegal immigrants out.

And Republicans leading in some Congressional races in Miami with high Latino-Cuban American populations leading Democrats who are incumbents.      That includes the 27th District where former HHS Secretary Donna Shalala is the incumbent.

(EARLY POSTING)

The coronavirus and the election.    Incumbency in a "crisis" can be a key to winning elections.      Voters tend to rally around an incumbent in a "crisis".   This commentary from Australia on an election victory last weekend in the state of Queensland could apply to President Trump today.

"The crisis favors incumbents, provided people think they are doing the right thing"...ABC NEWS AUSTRALIA COMMENTARY

The Trump focus on the economy and boosting it even as critics often call his message on COVID-19:

"lies"

The economy seen as the key factor in determining who ultimately wins an election.

The President distancing himself in the final days of the campaign from any economic shutdown over the coronavirus saying   "there will not be another lockdown".

But the President not mentioning the notion of mass testing for the coronavirus which seems to be gaining stream.

Of course mass testing of people for coronavirus underway already in New York City schools and the Biden campaign wants to keep schools open just like President Trump does.

Dr. Deborah Birx of the White House Task Force on the coronavirus in Utah over the weekend she's going all over the country and telling officials around the country to issue orders to wear masks and other things.   She mentions families "limiting interactions" and also pushes 'required tests'...KUTV SALT LAKE CITY STORY WITH VIDEO EMBEDDED

In Israel the military planning to test at shopping mall and office building entrances.

Much focus in the mainstream media on the vote count and the notion of proclaiming victory.

The MSM tradition is to hold back if the Republican candidate is winning and to proclaim the Democrat candidate for President a winner in Prime Time on Election Night before 11 pm Eastern US time.   They did this with Obama in 2008 and 2012.

I felt that Trump had won at 1030 pm on Election Night in 2016 but the media had to hold back until late into the night to admit this.

The truth of the actual vote count is coming out sooner or later whether mainstream media want to report it or not.
