FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 107: MACRON "SHOCKED" BY POLICE BEATING MASS PROTEST TODAY
The scene in France shifted dramatically following last Saturday's police beating incident involving a black music producer.
Plenty of outrage in the media and from activists forcing President Emmanuel Macron and his government to back out of the "law and order" mode it had been in.
Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin moving quickly with the four officers involved (three accused in the beating and one of firing a tear gas round) suspended. On Friday they were arrested as the judicial inquiry is underway into the incident.

His government is currently pushing a "Global Security Bill' through the National Assembly that would among other things ban videos of the police if they were intended to harm the police. The beating incident caught on video.
This incident providing fuel for protest this Saturday with people other than Yellow Vests on the streets of Paris and in other cities.
By late afternoon today tear gas being employed on the streets in Paris riot police in some cases operating from barricades set up to block protesters.
The black uniformed protesters anarchists setting up their own barricades and lighting fires.
This live stream began as darkness descended on Paris Sautrday night and the "black blocs" and police continued to clash in the streets....Laser lights visible in the live video perhaps the anarchists are employing them against the police. A fire set at a Bank of Paris location.
Another protest last night in Besancon near the Swiss border drew a large crowd.
In Bordeaux today anarchists smashing the windows at a McDonalds...
The protest crowd in Montpellier in the south of France said to be 3800 by the authorities and 5000 by the organizers today....

Official estimates from the Ministry of the Interior tonight 46-thousand protested in Paris today and 133-thousand nationwide. The estimates of protest organizers are higher and are likely to be compiled in the next 24 hours.
