The results in the Democrats caucuses in Iowa delayed tonight but first.....



The Russian military in Syria says its got a tip about an impending false flag chemical attack near the city of Aleppo.    The Russians say that Al-Qaeda terrorists and "White Helmets" have arrived in the area with chemicals ready to act and then blame Syria's government.

Five Turkish soldiers and a civilian killed and others as many as 13 wounded in shelling by Syrian government forces in Idlib early today.     That's according to Turkey's Defense Ministry with its latest updated figures.


Turkish forces retaliated and destroyed Syrian targets according to the Turks with its President saying that F-16 aircraft and T-155 howitzers retaliated.


Russia's defense ministry says that the Turks did not launch any airstrikes on the Syrian military.....TASS NEWS REPORT   "Southfront" quoting the Russians as saying that the Turkish military made moves without informing the Russian military leading to them coming under Syrian fire...."SOUTHFRONT" STORY


Turkey maintains observation posts in northwestern Syria in the name of maintaining a "cease-fire" there with Russia but there have been repeated violations by jihadist forces leading to Syrian government military action backed by Russian air strikes.


Turkey reported moving additional military equipment into northwestern Syria Sunday and its President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkey may use military force to stop the Syrian government offensive currently underway in Idlib.

PRESIDENT TRUMP SPOKE WITH TURKISH PRESIDENT RECEP TAYYIP ERDOGAN LAST WEEK WITH THE WHITE HOUSE SAYING THAT BOTH LEADERS AGREED TO THE NEED FOR AN "END TO VIOLENCE" IN IDLIB.    PRESIDENT TRUMP SAID IN A DECEMBER 26TH TWEET THAT IRAN, RUSSIA AND SYRIA WERE PLANNING TO PERPETRATE A 'MASSACRE' IN IDLIB.   CONCERNS IN THE LAST WEEK FROM RUSSIA AND SYRIA ABOUT A PROVOCATION TO STOP THEIR MILITARY ACTIONS AGAINST AL QAEDA AND OTHER JIHADIST OPPOSITION FORCES IN NORTHWESTERN SYRIA.



Turkish and Russian foreign ministers were talking by phone today in the aftermath of the incident....LINK


Russia also reporting that it show down an unidentified drone after dark this evening as the drone approached its Hmeimim air base in Syria.


The Syrian forces have continued their operations in the area of the incident at they continue to encircle the town of Saraqib.

The 57-nation Organization of Islamic Cooperation has rejected President Trump's "Deal of the Century" plan involving Israelis and Palestianians.   Meeting in Saudi Arabia, the group called on member states not to cooperate with the plan.

The tweet of the longtime producer of Rush Limbaugh's radio show "Bo Snerdley" today as Rush announced that he has been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.    He will be off the air in the coming days as he receives treatment but hopes to be back by the end of the week.

One dead and five wounded in a shooting incident on a Greyhound bus in California early this morning.  The bus was traveling on Interstate 5 north of Los Angeles bound for San Francisco.   The suspect is in custody.  No motive being discussed by authorities at this time.



The latest coronavirus statistics from China's government Tuesday morning (Monday evening US time) show confirmed cases at over 20,400 with 425 deaths in the country.


The first death from the virus reported in the Chinese territory of Hong Kong.



China accusing the United States of "imposing excessive restrictions" to combat the coronavirus.


Those words came from China's foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying today.


The US not allowing any foreigners who have visited China recently to enter the country.

The words of France's education minister in the case of a 16-year old French student named Mila who's gone into hiding after posting a video online critical of Islam.


She's received a torrent of death and rape threats and has not returned to the school she attended in Grenoble amidst the threats.



"In April Netanyahu goes to trial....."


Blue and White Party leader Benny Gantz zeroing in on the indictment of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in three corruption cases to make his case in Israel's March 2nd election.  Gantz arguing the trial will prevent Netanyahu from doing his job.


Gantz also critical of the many overseas trips the Prime Minister is taking ahead of the election.

And in Washington today the final arguments from the House managers who are prosecuting and the group of lawyers defending President Trump at his impeachment trial.


Senators now beginning to make their speeches indicating how they will vote with the final vote on the President's guilt or innocence set for Wednesday afternoon.



And finally here we are late in the night with another glitch associated with the Iowa Democratic Caucuses tonight.


On Saturday night it was about the polling with a reported irregularity leading to the cancellation of the Des Moines Register-CNN poll.


Tonight its about the actual results of the caucuses with the need for "quality control" and "discrepancies" in tabulations being cited by the Iowa Democratic Party.


Still no results as we come to midnight Eastern US time.


For the Republicans tonight Donald J. Trump with 97.2 percent of the vote and candidates Bill Weld and Joe Walsh at 1.3 and 1.1 percent respectively.    Other candidates got .5 percent.


And that's the way it really is Monday February 3rd, 2020.
