NEWS SUMMARY-INTELLIGENCE REPORT SUNDAY 2/2/2020  "SUPER" NEWSDUMP SUNDAY AL QAEDA CLAIMS PENSACOLA TERRORIST ATTACK, LONDON TERRORIST ATTACK

The leader of Al Qaeda In The Arabian Peninsula claiming responsibility for the terrorist attack in Pensacola, Florida December 6th that killed three and wounded eight at the Pensacola Naval Air Station.

AQAP's leader Qassim al-Rimi made an audio speech saying the group was behind the shooting attack carried out by Saudi Air Force Lieutenant Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani.    Alshamrani shot dead by police.

Officials like Pensacola Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz and Attorney General William Barr have characterized the attack as a "terrorist attack" but both Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and President Trump have not described  it as a "terrorist attack".

A terrorist attack in London today with police and media avoiding words like "terrorist" and "terrorism".....

The attack in a shop in South London around 9 am Eastern US time (2 pm local time) when a man started stabbing people.    Three reported injured and the attacker shot dead by police.

He's identified as Sudesh Amman.    Amman had been released from prison around a week ago after serving half his sentence on terrorism offenses.....BBC STORY

In the African nation of Burkina Faso Saturday night terrorists on motorbikes attacked a village killing 20 civilians.

France is reinforcing its military presence in the western African region where it was the former colonial power.     600 more soldiers being deployed to Mali for what's "Operation Barkhane" which was launched in August 2014.

There will now be 5,100 French troops involved in the anti-terrorist operation in western Africa's Sahel region.

Saudi Arabia's "Al Arabiya" news channel reporting that a convoy of 200 Turkish military vehicles crossed into northern Syria today.

Yesterday Turkish backed jihadist forces launched a surprise attack on Syrian government forces in northern Aleppo province but were beaten back.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkey is willing to intervene militarily to stop the current Syrian government offensive backed by the Russian aerospace forces in northwestern Syria's Idlib province.

The point man for President Trump's "Deal of the Century" plan Jared Kushner tells Egyptian TV that the proposal is not final and can be changed by negotiations.

That's part of the reaction to "Deal of the Century" from Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov appearing on Russian TV 1 today.

Peskov says that the Palestinian and Arab objections to the plan "raises doubts over its viability".

149 people reported infected outside of China including nine in the United States and four in Canada.

Chinese stocks reported to have dropped some eight percent at the opening of trading today.   The fall now said to be around seven percent.

Russian Railways suspending passenger train service to China starting Monday.

Iran is offering 80-thousand dollars to each of the families of those killed in the shoot down of an Ukrainian airliner last month.    That is the word from Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky who says his government is rejecting the offer involving Ukrainian nationals believing more should be paid out.

Iran is planning to launch what it calls a "scientific observation satellite" in the "coming days".

That's the message from the head of the Iranian Space Agency Morteza Barari about what Iran is calling the Zafar (Victory) satellite.

The satellite weighs some 113 kilograms  (249.122 pounds).
