Good Morning, its Thursday November 8th, 2018.

The President says some foreigners are needed in the USA during his long news conference.  We''ll have the quote later.

President Donald Trump moved quickly after the election results came in to move forward and change the subject Wednesday.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions was fired.  He turned in his resignation Wednesday.   His chief of staff Matthew Whitaker, called a "Trump loyalist" by the mainstream media will be acting as Attorney General.

Controversial CNN reporter Jim Acosta had his press credentials taken away after a confrontation with President Trump at his Wednesday news conference.

CNN said White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders lied in her explanation of removal of those credentials and said "Jim Acosta has our full support".

Sanders had said this regarding Acosta:

"We will, however, never tolerate a reporter placing his hands on a young woman"

A White House intern had moved in to take the microphone away from Acosta during his confrontation with the President.

Now during his confrontation with Acosta at the news conference President Trump said this regarding foreigners entering the United States:

"......I want them to come into the country, but they have to come in legally,  You know Jim, they have to come in through a process.  I want to be a process.

And I want people to come in and we need the people....

....You know why we need the people.....because we have hundreds of companies moving in,   We need the people..."

It was long news conference for the President who also said he will have a "stronger opinion" on Jamal Khashoggi's murder next week.  He said the US, Turkey and Saudi Arabia were working to uncover the truth about his October 2nd murder at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.

And the President warning Democrats not to investigate him or they will end up being investigated.

President Trump will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Paris Sunday for a working lunch.
Both leaders are in Paris for the centennial of the end of World War I.

The US representative for Syria, James Jeffrey, says he hopes Russia will again allow Israel to launch air strikes on Iranian targets in Syria.   Before the September 17th incident when a Russian aircraft was downed during an Israel air attack killing 15 Russian servicemen, Russia allowed attacks in consultation with Israel.

Now the stronger S-300 air defense system has been deployed in Syria by the Russians for Syrian air defense units to use.  Israel has refrained from air attacks in Syria since the September incident.

South Korea's Foreign Minister says US officials told him that North Korea cancelled a planned meeting this week between Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and a senior North Korean official.

The meeting was discuss denuclearization and a second summit meeting between President Trump and North Korea's ruler Kim Jong-un.

The Christian woman who was on death row for blasphemy in Pakistan is free from prison according to her lawyer.

Asia Bibi, also called Asia Noreen, was reported by some sources to have left the county but a government official says she is still in the country with the government planning a move to prevent her from leaving Pakistan.

After Pakistan's Supreme Court overturned her conviction for blasphemy of the Prophet Mohammed last week, there were angry protests calling for her death featuring signs with nooses and flames on them.   The mobs also wanted Supreme Court justices put to death.

Several countries have offered Asia Bibi asylum including Italy.

Back to Election 2018 for a bit.

It looked good for Republican Matt Rosendale in Montana's US Senate race as results came in, but as the rural areas reported leads for Rosendale, the votes of the more liberally populated areas of the state were held back until the end and their votes put incumbent Jon Tester over the top 50-47 percent.   The Libertarian candidate, Rick Breckenridge, who pulled out last week in favor of Republican Rosendale, still got nearly three percent of the vote.

Trolls were out griping on social media Wednesday over the loss of Republican Adam Laxalt in the Governor's race in Nevada.   They put blame on Ryan Bundy, Independent candidate for Governor.  But Bundy's 1.43 percent of the vote was only one of the reasons.   Other candidates like Russell Best of the Independent American Party and Libertarian Jared Lord, along with "None of the Above" total 4.3 percent of the vote.

The margin of victory for Democrat Steve Sisolak is now at 4.1 percent over Laxalt.   And guess what, over 3 percent of the votes still not added to the total from Clark County, the Las Vegas area.

Ryan Bundy was able to ferret out the hiding of evidence in the Bunkerville Standoff case leading to dismissal of felony charges against him and others but three men ended up in prison over the Bunkerville Standoff without the evidence proving their innocence being revealed.

One of them, Greg Burleson, is serving a 68 year sentence at the Allenwood federal prison in Pennsylvania and now prison authorities have imposed a host of punishments on him that led supporter Karen Drum to comment online:

"This is not discipline....this is torture"

Drum brought Burleson's case to the attention of Vice President Mike Pence during a visit to the Keystone State several months ago and noted in the same Facebook post:

"It doesn't seem like asking help from any politicians has gotten us anywhere"

President Trump has been urged to pardon Burleson and other two men but so far it looks like a dead end.   More on our Breaking News post regarding this matter.  LINK
