This week French President Emmanuel Macron distanced himself from US President Donald Trump's Board of Peace and seized an oil tanker of Russia's 'shadow fleet' demonstrating notions of French independence and power.
The decision on not joining the "Board of Peace" by Mr. Macron was explained in terms of respecting 'international law' over 'arbitrary action'.
There was concern not fully expressed that the "Board of Peace" was really a mechanism to go around the United Nations in Gaza and other places like Ukraine.
This week Israel destroying the UN relief agency building in Jerusalem signaling its desire for the UN not to be involved in the future of the Palestinians.
France, besides being a leader in recognizing a Palestinian state, is also supportive of Ukraine and skeptical about the Trump Administration's efforts to cut a deal with Russia and Ukraine to end fighting in the Ukraine War...

At one point US President Donald Trump published texts Mr. Macron sent to him in an apparent effort to embarrass and demean Mr. Macron for not joining his "Board of Peace".
Commenting on this in a video former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia who said in part:
"I never thought I'd see the day when the President of the United States would act like a vindictive teenager posting private text messages on social media to embarrass someone who wouldn't go to prom with him"...

On Friday German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressing objections to the "Board of Peace" in its present form citing constitutional concerns.
Their statement seems to be an attempt to be supportive of Mr. Macron while still expressing appreciation to Mr. Trump for seeking peace through establishing the board.

ARTICLE 49.3 PART OF THE STRONG PRESIDENCY CREATED FOR CHARLES DEGAULLE IN THE FIFTH REPUBLIC CONSTITUTION OF 1958.
THE DECISIONS MEANT A BREAKING OF PRIME MINISTER SEBASTIEN LECORNU'S PROMISE IN OCTOBER NOT TO USE 49.3 TO PASS THE BUDGET.
