(Updated) Derek Chauvin the former Minneapolis police officer convicted in state and federal courts in connection with George Floyd's death, stabbed in a federal prison in Tucson, Arizona.


Chauvin seriously injured after being stabbed by another inmate.



Prison staff had to perform life-saving measures on Chauvin before he was transported to a hospital.



His attacker also taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment.


Chauvin serving time at the prison after his conviction in a federal civil rights trial.
