FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 247: THE NIGER CRISIS, MARCON REMAINS VERY UNPOPULAR, PROTEST CARRIES ON IN PARIS

        YELLOW VESTS PROTEST MARCH IN PARIS SATURDAY 8/5/2023




Tensions this week over Niger the former French colony that is a source of uranium for France's extensive network of nuclear power plants and home base for 1,500 French soldiers.



The French military evacuated more than a thousand foreign nationals from the country calling for the return to power of elected President Mohamed Bazoum.



A deadline for this weekend set by a group of West African nations for Mr. Bazoum to be returned to power with military action possible against the new government in Niger.




FRANCE'S TOP POLITICAL LEADERS REMAIN HIGHLY UNPOPULAR.



AN ELABE POLL THIS WEEK FOR RADIO CLASSIQUE SHOWING PRESIDENT EMMANUEL MACRON WITH THE TRUST OF ONLY 29 PERCENT OF THOSE 18 AND OLDER POLLED.



HIS PRIME MINISTER ELISABETH BORNE ENJOYING THE TRUST OF 26 PERCENT IN THE POLLING.





"mobilize all the means necessary to monitor individuals and groups of individuals targeted as having been at the origin of violent actions during the riots"



Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin with the government message following the recent highly publicized disturbances in France.


Darmanin's message pushing the notion that more "violence" is on the way when France hosts the Rugby World Cup this fall and the Paris Olympics next summer.



The government is considering holding the young people the teenagers involved in the recent disturbances responsible through actions involving their parents.



The Macron regime saying it wants to empower parents and hold them responsible but not through actions like withdrawing government subsidies to families where teenagers were involved in 'violence'.
