France Breaking News Commentary: The Macron Government's Fight To Crush The Left And Ultimately Defeat Marine Le Pen Takes A New Turn

Yesterday's announcement by Education Minister Gabirel Attal, former government spokesman and Centrist political insider in Emmanuel Macron's government, banning Islamic dresses-robes in school (abayas) signified the latest move to change the subject from the highly unpopular raising of France's retirement age to 64.

Mr. Macron and his Liberal Capitalist Centrist political movement find themselves with core support of 30 percent or less.

His movement must reach out to the "Right" in France including Les Republicains of the "Mainstream" Mitch McConnell-Mitt Romney type as well as "Reconquete" movement of the Sean Hannity-Fox News variety.

A key leader in Reconquete, Eric Zemmour, already calling for school uniforms in France following Attal's announcement.

This move on Islamic dress stirs up the Left in France which has been consistently demonized as "Extreme" and "Radical" by Macron and his government since the pension reform debate earlier this year.

It was in opposition to the raising of the retirement age that the Left took to the streets and it was then that acts of violence were recorded and exploited as Macron's government compared today's Left in France led by Jean-Luc Melenchon to the Terror of the French Revolution in the 1790's.

The incidents of "violence" in France this summer that appeared overplayed with even "Conservative" media descending on France to play it up gave the Macron government a chance to flex a notion of 'law and order".

In recent weeks special police units deployed to various French cities over dramatic incidents of violence.

There is more "Right" than "Left" in France right now including movements that are Moderate and Pro-Liberal Capitalism Globalism in the end like Les Republicains and Reconquete.

The Centrist movement of Mr. Macron must contest elections in the future including the 2027 Presidential Election where Mr. Macron will not be a candidate.

Marine Le Pen leads Macron in polling right now and any other "Centrist" even one masking as being on the "Right" will have a tough go against her in such a race.

Hence the need for this symbolic movement to the "Right" by Emmanuel Macron's government.
