YELLOW VESTS MARCH IN PARIS JULY 8, 2023
In the aftermath of the police killing of Nahel M the focus was on the violence on France's streets with international attention paid to the situation.
At least one more person killed by police taken down by a police projectile.
President Emmanuel Macron at one point paid a late-night visit to a police station to visit officers.
The violent incidents created a huge distraction from other concerns including economic challenges and the controversial pension reform issue that dominated the discussion in France earlier this year.
Immigration an underlying issue because of the background of Nahel M. with the immigration issue played prominently in the "Conservative Media" that talked about the violence.
The National Rally a leading voice in French politics when it comes to immigration policy.
A National Rally Deputy in the National Assembly visited the prison where the police officer accused of killing Nahel M. is bring held. Romain Baubry is a former police officer and prison guard.
He said his visit was to check on the conditions of the officer's imprisonment including his separation from other inmates. Legislators have the right to visit prisons. Mr. Baubry was denied entry into the officer's cell with authorities saying he is currently in pre-trial detention.
And the mayor of the southern French town of Beziers Robert Menard, who has political ties to the RN party, refusing to participate in a marriage ceremony involving a 29-year old woman and a 23-year old Algerian man.
Menard saying the marriage would allow the Algerian to avoid having to return to his home country.
A narrative that Emmanuel Macron pushed during the "riots" was "law and order" with Macron telling police at one point to issue on the spot fines to those possessing marijuana.
Protesters gathered again in Paris on Saturday afternoon and the "Reservoir Apps" channel on You Tube with a video interviewing them.

And in conclusion one does wonder what the "Law and Order" and "Immigration" focus of the Moderate-Centrist Globalist politicians in Europe like Emmanuel Macron in France in Mark Rutte in the Netherlands is signaling?
The Hot War in Ukraine is only set to get hotter not to mention the Economic War with China that may turn hot perhaps the need to prepare for violent force to be used against Leftists who may object to the increasing use of offensive weapons like cluster bombs being sent to Ukraine.
It's also clear that deteriorating economic conditions in poorer nations will increasingly drive masses of people towards Europe and North America.
Perhaps the ruling Globalist Moderates are just getting ready to deal with a real problem that they will be expected to take on by the sheer weight of public opinion.
For now that's the story of France and the Yellow Vests.
