Officially some 240 demonstrations across France today as the labor union led protests against President Emmanuel Macron's imposition of 'pension reform' without a legislative vote intensifies.


Unofficial protests springing up across France as well with unions staging selective strikes affecting trains, airports and oil refineries among other sectors of the economy.



Today demonstrators blocked the Roissy Airport in Paris.



800,000 protesting in Paris alone according to union organizers and 280,000 in Marseille.


Railroad tracks, streets and highways blocked during the day with large percentages of workers walking off the job today on the railroads, in airports and at schools among other places.



Hundreds of peaceful protests across France but also incidents involving black uniformed anarchists.


Protest organizers saying that Mr. Macron's television interview yesterday was tantamount to incitement of the crowds to show up and or be violent.


Macron stood by the pension reform measure saying it was necessary comparing opponents in some cases to those who entrered the US Capitol on January 6th.


The leader of the National Rally in France's National Assembly Marine Le Pen said that today's protests sent "a strong signal".


She added:



"Emmanuel Macron can no longer govern alone, he must now return to the people"
