Earlier today Israel President Issac Herzog says 'behind the scenes' talks are making progress towards a compromise on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's judicial reform proposal.
Herzog speaking at an "emergency meeting" of mayors and local leaders. He claims that 'behind the scenes' there is agreement on most matters.
But Mr. Herzog also says the reform plan of Mr. Netanyahu must be tempered.
Leading opposition politicians former Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Defense Minister Benny Gantz say that Netanyahu must withdraw his judicial reform plan so talks can take place...
