FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 197: MACRON TALKS UKRAINE, FRENCH TROOPS LEAVE MALI AMID TERRORISM SUPPORT ACCUSATION, HOW DID THE GOVERNMENT CRUSH THE ONCE MAJOR PROTESTS?

Speaking in the south of France Friday President Emmanuel Macron raised the dramatic tone regarding Ukraine as France moves towards a winter that may be one of suffering for France due to the situation there.
Macron speaking of Russia staging a "brutal attack" in Ukraine and "the price of freedom" in his remarks in Var at a ceremony commemorating its liberation by allied forces during World War II (August 1944).
France pulling the last of its troops out of the African nation of Mali this week. Other nations forces have also left the country now under military rule.
The French-led international force was ostensibly helping Mali to fight Islamic jihadists waging war there.
But when Mali's military overthrew the civilian government they looked in a different direction for help.
Russia's Wagner Group now providing a contracted mercenary force to fight the terrorists.
Mali this week wrote a letter to the UN Security Council seeking a meeting to discuss what it says is French support for Islamic terrorists in the country.
Mali accuses the French of using aircraft to maintain contact with the Islamists and bring in weapons to help them fight against Mali.
Meanwhile in the Burgundy region of France the Yellow Vests of Auxerre planning a rally this coming Wednesday August 24th.
The midday rally (11 am to 130 pm) in solidarity with garbage collectors and their differences with the local government. The protest noting a government cold shoulder to the trash collectors after they praised as essential workers during the COVID lockdown...
Back to Paris and the protest there today this is a 63 minute video. The group some in Yellow Vests and some not making their way through the streets.

ALSO PRESIDENT MACRON ANNOUNCING TODAY DURING THE NEWSDUMP PERIOD THAT HE WILL VISIT ALGERIA FROM AUGUST 25TH TO 27TH.
THE FORMER FRENCH COLONIAL TERRITORY IS NOW IN A DISPUTE WITH MOROCCO OVER THE WESTERN SAHARA REGION WHICH IS PUTTING IT INTO CONFLICT WITH SPAIN AND BY DEFAULT THE FORCES OF 'WORLD ORDER'.
ALGERIA SUPPLIES NATURAL GAS TO SPAIN AND THERE HAVE BEEN DISRUPTIONS OF SUPPLY IN RECENT MONTHS.
Back to the Yellow Vests and the pressing question of how the once big protests got reduced in size?
Multiple factors including the appearance of black hooded anarchists (government undercover agents?) creating violent incidents at sensitive sites like the Champs Elysees and the Arc d' Triomphe then the COVID emergency measures kept protests from building up steam again.
There was also the use of aggressive intimidating force by special police units historically used for this purpose (The CRS riot police "Republican Companies")...
