The raid happening in DeSantis's state on his watch as Governor and Senator Cruz was questioning FBI Director Christopher Wray just last week some say in a rather tepid way not being as tough as he should be in the questioning.
President Trump issued a statement around 7 pm Eastern US Time regarding the raid speaking of:
"dark times for our nation"
and also saying among other things:
"The lawlessness, political persecution and Witch Hunt must be exposed and stopped"
Trump added:

The raid occurred at 10 am this morning Eastern US Time according a reporter for "Local 10 News" in Miami tonight that is nine hours before President Trump revealed it with his statement at around 7 pm.
It is being said 15 boxes were taken from President Trump's home.
In his statement today President Trump described the raid as something that did not need to happen ("not necessary or appropriate") since he was cooperating with government agencies over documents from the White House reported to be with him in Mar-a-Lago.
One of the fierce critics of President Trump in 2016 was Glenn Beck tonight Beck tweets this message stressing politics and elections (Warning; Strong Language):
