The protesters opposing the government with many New Zealand flags shouting:

                                "Freedom"

Avi Yemeni prevented from entering New Zealand from Australia to report this protest for Rebel News but "Real Rukshan" has made it with difficulty (they flagged his passport) to try to cover it.

He had trouble getting out of Australia but he got eventually and has made it to New Zealand.

Singing now underway on the grounds of Parliament.

Protest signs visible in the crowd including one saying:

"People Are Dying From The Jab"

Soon a trial will be underway ("mock trial") the accusation made against the government and politicians in general from all political parties Right and Left for their complicity in coercive COVID policies and the societal and economic distress now impacting New Zealand.

1 TV News now says there may be as many as 2000 protesters present at Parliament right now and New Zealand is a country of five million people.

The US has 66 times more people so imagine 120,000 people in front of the US Capitol and that is the equivalent size of this protest in New Zealand.

Brian Tamaki's wife Hannah thanking people for their support and their participation in protests when she and her husband were banned from protests during the COVID emergency regime in New Zealand.

                     "We Are One People"

proclaimed by Hannah Tamaki also talking about her husband being a "prisoner".   Brian Tamaki confined to his home for many weeks during the COVID emergency regime.

Tamaki saying the government should be:

"Protecting Us"

not

"Punishing Us"

"This is not the nation I grew up in"

"They have continued the Far Left, Liberal Agenda"

Tamaki speaking about what's happened in New Zealand since he rallied at Parliament some 18 years ago.    Brian Tamaki is the founder of a super church "Destiny Church" in New Zealand.

That mock court session still to come.

The rally underway outside New Zealand's Parliament nicknamed "The Beehive" because it's shape resembles the newer building of Parliament constructed that way.

Brian Tamaki saying that a ferry cancellation from the South Island and airline flight cancellations have impeded people from getting to today's protest and he sees something deliberate in those events.

Getting back to his remarks to the protest Mr. Tamaki saying that New Zealand has as he puts it gone down the:

                             "gurgler"

He has invited both Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Opposition Leader Christopher Luxon of the National Party to appear at the protest.

Brian Tamaki talking about that notion of a new political party saying several small parties will be registered under the umbrella name:

               "Freedoms and New Zealand"

He believes as many as five parties may group together under this banner eventually.

The next portion of the rally this "trial" it will include clips of Jacinda Ardern speaking during the regime of COVID restrictions and vaccine coercion.

(915 PM EASTERN US TIME,  115 PM TUESDAY NEW ZEALAND)

The trial of the government underway today includes witnesses as well as the video clips.

The "New Zealand Herald" showing a picture of a judge presiding over the trial with appropriate judicial furniture.

Brian Tamaki made reference to the Labour Party parliament member kicked out of the caucus today Gaurav Sharma.

Tamaki saying of Sharma:

"I would say you need to give me a call"

Sharma called out the government for bullying rank and file MP's in the Labour Party and for doing other things like hiding information requested in Freedom Of Information requests through training provided to the Labour MP's.

The Prime Minister opted not to call a by-election they could have kicked Mr. Sharma out of Parliament entirely to do that but such a move likely to have triggered an election loss for Jacinda Ardern.

Her party some 15 percent less popular (around 35 percent) in polling from the 50 percent it received in the 2020 election.

"Moses Said Let My People Go"

reads one of the signs being held in the crowd.    A picture with that published on the blog of the New Zealand Herald inside the story we linked to earlier.

(1015 PM EASTERN US TIME,  215 PM TUESDAY NEW ZEALAND TIME)

The mock trial of the political leadership in New Zealand has ended and the crowd thinning out near Parliament in Wellington.

Brian Tamaki of The Freedoms and Rights Coalition seeing today's protest as a success.

"It was a great day"

he told TV 1 News.

Many signs during the protest were held up one big sign referenced the nickname of New Zealand's parliament building saying:

           "The Beehive Bullies Must Go"

It could be interpreted in light of the kicked out Labor Party MP Gaurav Sharma and his comments about "bullying" from the party leadership.

But this protest is rooted in the movement that sprung up over COVID controls in New Zealand and "Bullies" a clear reference to the wall of universal support in Parliament for COVID measures from masks to vaccines.

That support for COVID policy came from all political parties on the "Right" and "Left" and drives the call of this protest and the plan announced at the protest for a new political party in the country.

For now that's the story Good Night.
