BREAKING NEWS COMMENTARY: PELOSI VISITS TAIWAN FOR WHAT?

There are new business relationships in this ever-changing world not too many years ago I saw a video that depicted the conquest of the United States by China using the chips embedded in airplanes, cars and phones.

Chip legislation just passed the other week in Washington.

Places like South Korea and Taiwan not to mention domestic US production seen providing the chip replacements for China in the future.

The boss of the largest semiconductor maker in Taiwan one of those Pelosi is meeting.

Less than a decade ago I began to hear established voices like Gordon Chang speak of the souring of the business relationship between the United States and China.

Richard Nixon had high hopes when he opened up China some 50 years ago.

"We can't run the world without China"

were words Nixon used as he went into the White House (The Making of the President 1968-Theodore White).

Running the world used to be the job of the "British Empire" which put China in its place with the Opium Wars against China in the 19th Century.

But one nation resisted British hegemony with independence in 1776, The War of 1812 and the Monroe Doctrine among other things.

Now the USA takes the place of the British Empire leading the UK and other nations in policies to dominate the world including the giant overarching "Climate Policy" which threatens a total destabilization of the world and civilization as we have known it.

Russia and China already were told by US Climate Czar John Kerry what the "plan" is.    Kerry spent four days in Moscow to lay it out and also presented it to top Chinese officials.

So why get all wound up about Russia and China in 2022?    They have been there doing that for years when it comes to blustering about Ukraine or Taiwan not to mention domestic policies which the "American Empire" finds offensive.

Is it to gain compliance with "Climate" and other "Empire" agendas or is something else on the table?

I am reminded of history of the "Cuban Missile Crisis" of October 1962.

That's right October 1962 when the issue of Soviet armaments in Cuba a known problem was suddenly elevated to the top plate.

Just weeks before mid-term elections John F. Kennedy was being hammered by Republicans on weakness in relation to Communism.    Leading the pack the Conservatives of the camp of Barry Goldwater who would lead the GOP ticket in 1964.

The crisis looked good on the outside with the blockade of Cuba and the Soviet missile pullout.

But resolution also involved eventual concessions like the withdrawal of US missiles from Turkey and the end of support to Cubans fighting Castro with raids into Cuba from Florida.

JFK made down the road concessions to the Soviets while getting good short-term image for the November 1962 mid-term elections.

The Democrats lost only four seats in the House but gained four in the US Senate.

Does that get you thinking?

Donald Trump has blasted a weak Biden foreign policy make no mistake we are seeing a very concerted effort by Democrats to create an image of a tough foreign policy that confronts nations like Russia and China.

The visit of Pelosi of Taiwan can rightly be interpreted as a part of a Democrat effort to take the mantle of toughness away from Donald Trump and influence the Mid-Term Elections to the advantage of Democrats.

And of course it provides distraction from the inflation and other economic misery out there right now the rush of poorer people from the South towards the United States etc. etc.

And finally I hope people aren't allowing themselves to be sucked in by all this drama for a second time this year.

The handwriting of Ukraine becoming a Vietnam style mess already on the wall but of course that won't become apparent until after November when the Biden-RINO forces have vanquished the Trump threat of power in Congress to blunt their agendas.

Will all this drama and toughness regarding China neutralize Republican gains in Congress in November?
