Four convoys set out from Bunker Hill, West Virginia to send a non-violent message of freedom to the nation's ruling elites today.
They used highways like Route 7 in Northern Virginia and I-270 in Maryland making 30 minute stops blocking multiple lanes and allowing one lane of traffic through for emergency purposes if needed.
Vehicles are continuing to move slowly around the DC area this morning planning to move onto the 1776 Restoration Movement encampment in Bunker Hill, West Virginia about 90 miles northwest of Washington.
1776 RM leader David Riddell nicknamed "Santa" envisions more such protests in the days ahead...
CONVOY SANTA DAVID RIDDELL LIVE VIDEO STREAM
As the convoy vehicles moved into the interstates in Washington DC late this morning blockades at the various exits including the use of dump trucks in some cases....
Now earlier during those 30 minute stops police asking for drivers licenses and asking questions about the protest with people in the protest reminding police that they are people who don't want police in the defunded in this country.
Police seen in force once they became aware of the protests stopped along the highways.

"Oreo Express" posted this video several hours ago. At around 16 minutes "Santa" David Riddell appears to make comments.
Some of what he said:
"Our very first day of civil disobedience went without any arrests...any tickets or any vehicles being impounded...
I would really like to offer a heartfelt thanks to the Maryland State Police...you guys were awesome to work with...we thank you for supporting our First Amendment rights..."
Riddell discussed how he interacted with a Maryland state trooper who arrived about 17 minutes after the convoy he was part of stopped on I-270.
Riddell handed the trooper his drivers license during the interaction.
AND FINALLY TONIGHT WORD THAT CLIMATE ACTIVISTS BLOCKED THE INNER LOOP OF WASHINGTON'S BELTWAY THIS AFTERNOON.
14 WERE ARRESTED WHEN THE GROUP BLOCKED ALL LANES OF THE HIGHWAY...WTOP NEWS...THE 1776 RESTORATION MOVEMENT CHOSE TO LEAVE A LANE OPEN FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES DURING THEIR FOUR PROTESTS...
