POLICE THEN MOVED AGAINST VARIOUS 'HEAVY' VEHICLES IMPOUNDING THEM AND OR ORDERING THEM AWAY.


TACTICAL POLICE UNITS WERE DEPLOYED AT THE PROTEST SITE ON THE WASHINGTON DC MALL.

Andrew Mitchell, a former chief whip for Conservatives in Parliament, comparing Johnson to the legendary Russian mystic Rasputin saying:




"It's a bit like the death of Rasputin.    He's been poisoned, stabbed, he's been shot, his body's been dumped in the freezing river and still he lives"




Meanwhile there are Tories rising to Boris Johnson's defense including Jacob Rees-Mogg Minister of State for Brexit Opportunities and Government Efficiency saying:



"I fully supporting the Prime Minister.   I think that he's the right man for the job".


Today various mainstream media reports suggesting pressure from within the Conservative Party is building against Boris Johnson.


A group of cabinet ministers are said to have urged him to resign.




One cabinet minister who asked for his resignation, Michael Gove, fired from his post.


Additional cabinet level officials have resigned during the day.
