I've been in the rooms of recovery the 12-step meetings for 14 plus years met everyone Democrats, Republicans, Conservatives, Liberals, LGBTQ, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists and the list just keeps going on and on.
Then there's the professions like doctors and lawyers and cops and the military and there a long list beyond that.
We are all drunks needing to find our sobriety.

Many of us are aware of the Ashley Biden diary and that notation about her addict tracing it back to things like "showering with my dad".
That reminded me of 50 years ago I was young 12 years or so and some 11 year girl was at the pool without a top on saying the sunburn caused her to dress that way.
It was what it was then it got crazier she takes off her bottom this girl developing and showing herself but her father was right there with her getting his trunks off and diving in the pool with her.
What kind of people were these folks?
Well the family went to church on Sunday the "Bible Church" and I was listening to the radio preachers the "Bible Preachers" back then and their message did not match the way these folks were living.
So here's a girl going through the experience of "swimming naked with my dad" who took her to the "Bible Church" every Sunday.
The dad drank a lot of adult beverages by the way and had a way of getting into other people's spaces.
Heck he would do that to females I was related to including my own wife 20 or so years later.
