COVID lockdowns in Australia changing today. In Queensland state the heavily populated Brisbane area moved out of lockdown while the northeastern communities of Cairns and Yarrabah moved into lockdown.
But in the Brisbane area a strict mask order is in force you can only go without a mask outdoors if you are alone or with your household. Masks must be worn when working and in indoor settings as well.

The Olympics ended with a closing ceremony in Tokyo tonight no spectators in the stadium....TASS RUSSIA But while the massive and lucrative event for media companies came off there may have been a cost to Japan in terms of health.
The "Olympic Bubble" protected athletes, coaches and officials almost entirely from COVID but the virus gained traction in Tokyo and Japan.
As the foreign visitors needed for the Olympics like the international media poured into Japan there was a rise in COVID positive tests in Tokyo then other parts of Japan in the last month or so.
One of the resentments that has flourished in Australia as the country moved from lockdown to lockdown was the sense that the government's liberal policy on allowing foreign travelers in was contributing to COVID spread.
Business travelers got in to and out of Australia and other countries during the COVID situation including Caitlyn Jenner to do an Australian reality TV show.
So the Olympics are over but Japan is left with a lot of the coronavirus in its wake and one wonders if concessions made to business travelers like the media and others imported on the sidelines of the Olympics helped to make that happen.
