The US Food and Drug Administration giving "full approval" to the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine.
The approval applies to individuals 16 years and older.
This move will enable the promotion of the vaccine as being something other than "experimental" as it has been described during its "Emergency Use Authorization" phase that began last December.
US Senator Ron Johnson, Republican from Wisconsin, noted in a letter to federal health and medicine officials that the approval process for the vaccine appeared to be politically motivated to impose and enforce vaccine mandates.
