BREAKING NEWS:
The board meeting to vote on a Christmas Crackdown mask order and more at Central District Health in Boise, Idaho ended shortly after it began late this afternoon in the face of massive protest by citizens of southwestern Idaho.
Mainstream media reporting that hundreds were at the health district building and others at the homes of the board members as the meeting began at 515 pm local time (715 pm Eastern US time).
Visual images from the mainstream media showing protesters in some cases with the US flag and others displaying Trump flags among other things.
The Mayor and Police Chief of Boise asked that the meeting end with both citing "public safety".
The time of a future meeting to vote on the coronavirus restrictions not known yet.
Sharp reaction critical of the citizens protest from both Boise Mayor Lauren McLean who said:
"This has gone too far"
and Republican Governor Brad Little of Idaho who described the citizens efforts to stop coronavirus restrictions as:
"nothing more than a bullying tactic that seeks to silence"
Governor Little also saying via Twitter:
"There is no place for this behavior in Idaho"
The "Idaho Statesman" reporting that police are investigating the protests tonight and trying to get warrants to arrest protesters for "disturbing the peace"
One person taken into custody at the health board building accused of trespassing.
