Rockets hit a base housing US troops at Camp Taji north of Baghdad at 11 am local time today.


It is reported that at least 25 107mm  rockets were used in the attack.



Five wounded in the attack, three "coalition members" and two Iraqis.   Later word is that three of the five wounded are US soldiers.

THAT'S ARRESTING DECLINES IN PUMP PRICES WHICH ONLY DROPPED TWO MORE CENTS A GALLON AT MID-DAY TODAY IN THE YORK, PA AREA WHERE I AM TO 221,9 FROM 223.9 YESTERDAY.



WORD TODAY THAT THE TRAVEL BAN IS NOW EXTENDED TO INCLUDE THE UK AND IRELAND.

The death toll in Italy 1,441 as of Saturday evening with 21,157 cases.    That's the equivalent of 33,719 deaths in China and 495,074 cases in a nation the size of China in population.



NORWAY CORONAVIRUS UPDATE



Norway at 907 cases with one death.    The ports and borders closing at 8 am local time Monday.

Talks underway for the airlifting of medical equipment from China into the country.    Norway with its population of less than six million coping with 235,820 cases in a nation the size of China.

France ordering the closure of all non-essential public locations as of midnight tonight local time,  7 pm Eastern US time moving to Stage 3 of its fight against coronavirus.


The latest from France is that 91 are dead and 4500 cases of the coronavirus in the country.

Lets move onto a blast from the past and I saw a video of Flip Wilson who I watched a lot on the television in the early 1970's playing a role he was famous for "Reverend Leroy" of   "The Church of What's Happening Now".     In this video "The Devil" makes an appearance portrayed by Bobby Darin....

Plenty of laughs there.     As I reflect on things I know nowadays that I don't have to wrestle with the devil like the hypocritical Reverend Leroy is doing.   I have to surrender to my Higher Power and do the next right thing.

And how about "Saturday Night At The Movies".     I was reading one of those collections of Readers Digest condensed books some years ago and I read this story and I said I saw a movie like this story.


I sure did.


It was a book entitled "The Enemy Below" made into a movie in 1957 starring Curt Jurgens and Robert Mitchum.

Hey I spent a week in the "front lines" with my two jobs this week and saw the madness and I'm going back in the hours ahead and I need my rest.   I'm an essential employee in the scenario playing out in a government job and one in the "private sector".
