This newscast broadcast December 23, 1944........FRANK SINGISER NEWS 630 PM 12-23-1944
And the news from Christmas morning 1944........NBC NEWS AROUND THE WORLD 12-25-1944
Almost all the content war news but some other news in there too like the December 23rd broadcast reporting on the government crackdown on horse racing tracks. The war an excuse for government to shut things down like live entertainment after midnight and it got to the point in early 1945 where they shut down jukeboxes being played after midnight at restaurants, bars etc. etc.
People needed to go home and sleep so they could work in the morning on the war effort.
And the December 25th broadcast putting out the news that bandleader Glenn Miller was missing.
I guess there was a Newsdump back then, too.
