Some of the lyrics from that last song sung by Amy Grant I listened to that back in 1980-1981 it seemed like my life was moving in that direction.
But within years this song faded into the background when it came up I liked this song as medication for my shame and guilt.
My experience in the 12-Step rooms is with people using Christian Music including the Praise and Worship type music to medicate their shame and guilt.
But guess what folks those lyrics are alive in my heart alive in my spirit.
In recent days they are 'facts on the ground' in and around that "Come To Jesus" meeting I alluded to in previous "Unplugged" posts.

We have to come near to God in a personal relationship, he will come near to us.
If we're living in sin we must wash our hands and purify our hearts.
Again always be into purifying our hearts.
And then some of us we need to actually go home and we need to cry.

And if a tear never comes to your eye in your spiritual life something's wrong.
Grieve mourn and wail let your laughter be turned to mourning and you joy to gloom.
Humble yourselves therefore before the Lord.
Change means be converted we have to change.
We can't change on our own but we ask God to change me.
Something's in my heart and I can't quite get rid of it but you can deliver me from this evil right.
I have to come before Him and be changed..."

69 DAYS OF TEARS IN MY LIFE
What does it take to break my Pride Ego and Vanity I guess it takes the last 69 days of my life and the tears of each day tears of joy and sorrow thankfulness for the good and just tears to get me off my complacency to make amends of some kind, any kind to the people around me.
I see this as a positive development getting me more in tune with my real place on this Earth and the ultimate goal-destination Heaven.
One Day At A Time indeed each moment going for the next right action.

I have offered my perspective on hatred of Jews and Anti-Semitism including the Holocaust in past posts.
My own personal story involves hatred alongside abuse of alcohol, paint thinner inhalation and sex with self at an early age.
Theologian Doug Wilson has a new book out "American Milk And Honey" which offers a Christian perspective on Anti-Semitism.
Wilson talks the Israel-Hamas conflict, the status of Jews in our society and how Christians should react to Jews around them among other things.
At one point Wilson discussing how the British Empire decided in the context of World War I Lord Balfour coming up with the "Balfour Declaration" on a 'national homeland' for Jews in Palestine leading us to the modern state of Israel...
