FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 292: SNAP ELECTION DOES MACRON NEED RIGHT WING MUSCLE TO BEAT UP THE LEFT?* "ADDICTION TO SCREENS"?*MASS PROTESTS OPPOSE 'FAR RIGHT'

(NEWS, COMMENT AND ANALYSIS WITH MAINSTREAM MEDIA SOURCES)

11,700 PROTEST IN MARSEILLE, FRANCE AGAINST 'FAR-RIGHT' 6/15/2024

Just as surely as British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's July 4th election call gives power to the Labour Party in the UK French President Emmanuel Macron's call for National Assembly elections June 30th and July 7th will give power to the "Far-Right" National Rally.

Why make this shocking move on the heels of last Sunday's National Rally victory in the European Parliament elections?

Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that the muscle of the Right is needed in government to combat the Left which has Anti-Israel and Anti-Ukraine War elements among it.

Macron's Liberal Capitalism would better be served with the Right dominating the National Assembly rather than the Left as well.

On Friday Marine Le Pen spoke of a "National Unity Government" if the National Rally wins.

She spoke of the need to get France on its feet again even advocating lower Value Added Tax on energy among other things.

But Le Pen also took aim at the Left citing extreme elements she called "radical and violent".

The Left promising measures like a wealth tax if they win the election

The polling data taken during the week indicating a favorable position for the National Rally in what is a two-round process unless a candidate gets over 50 percent of the vote on June 30th.

The National Rally likely to have the upper hand in 300 plus seats a majority of the National Assembly with the Left able to command just over 250 seats.

The Renaissance Party of President Emmanuel lagging in support with 18 percent of the popular vote.

Les Republicains leader Eric Ciotti returned to his job at the end of the week after his expulsion for cutting a deal with the National Rally.

The Left coming out with a "New Popular Front" at the end of the week Ecologists, La France Insoumise, the Communist and Socialist parties hearkening back to the "Popular Front" that won the 1936 Election in France.
