Emmanuel Macron appeared before the French media Tuesday night a wide range of issues covered including the notion of a higher birth rate for the country.

Macron did a 30 minute speech followed by questions from the media.

Mr. Macron saying a six-month parental leave for child birth involving both parents should replace the current one-year extendable to three-year leave for mothers of newborn children.

He sees this as an ingredient that will help increase the birth rate in France which declined by 6.6 percent last year.  Macron broaching the notion of 'demographic rearmament' when it comes to fertility.

Macron also presenting the notion of 'screen time' for children being restricted this policy is more formalized in China for example.

He also spoke about 'middle-class tax cuts' starting in 2025 two years before the Presidential election in which his successor will be chosen.

Macron blasting the political party currently most popular in France, the National Rally.

Macron called the RN a party of "easy anger" and "lies".

When it came to the notion of Marine Le Pen being elected President of France in 2027 Macron said he would:

      "fight to the last quarter of an hour"

to prevent that from happening.

THERE WAS POLITICAL POLLING DONE EARLIER THIS MONTH BY IFOP.

 MARINE LE PEN THE STRONGEST PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IN A FIRST ROUND VOTE.

LE PEN AT 33 PERCENT OVER EDUOARD PHILIPPE AT 25 PERCENT.

PHILIPPE THE MAYOR OF LE HAVRE OFTEN MENTIONED AS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT MACRON'S CENTRIST MOVEMENT.

AND LE PEN SHOWN AT 32 PERCENT TO THE NEWLY APPOINTED PRIME MINISTER GABRIEL ATTAL'S 23 PERCENT.

WHAT'S VERY NOTABLE IS THAT THE POLLSTERS AVOID DOING SECOND ROUND POLLS TO SHOW HOW LE PEN FARES AGAINST THE CENTRISTS PHILIPPE AND ATTAL.

FEAR OF SHOWING MARINE LE PEN THE VICTOR OF A 2027 PRESIDENTIAL CONTEST A LIKELY FACTOR.

Today's procession in Paris streets the French flag displayed along with a Yellow flag.

Drums played plenty of folks wearing Yellow Vests.  50 or more people participating.

A yellow banner at the front of the demonstration with cardboard protests signs held as well.
