YELLOW VESTS PROTEST IN PARIS 1/13/2024
When a Top 50 list of personalities in France came out at the end of last year 28-year-old Jordan Bardella was on it.
Bardella is President of the National Rally it's number two personality behind Marine Le Pen who leads the party in the National Assembly.
While Le Pen is expected to run for President in 2027 Bardella will take the lead position in this year's European Parliament elections for the RN.
Polling done this weekend by Elabe puts the RN at 28.5 percent of the vote for the European Parliament Election on June 9th. That's 10 percent ahead of President Macron's list with 31 percent of those under the age of 35 supporting the RN.
The need for youthful leadership in President Emmanuel Macron's Centrist Liberal Capitalist movement to counter this leading to career advancement for 34-year-old Gabriel Attal now elevated to the post of Prime Minister.
Attal at one time was the spokesman for the government but most recently served as Minister of Education implementing a policy that banned Islamic clothing (abayas) in French schools last fall.
He is also gay.
