YELLOW VESTS PREPARE TO MARCH IN PARIS 9/2/2023
The Centrist Movement of President Emmanuel Macron's slavish devotion to banking-business priorities for France like a higher retirement age and a lower tax corporate tax burden doesn't excite grass roots voters.
In fact, they caught on when fuel taxes were imposed back in the fall of 2018 in the name of "Climate" and millions came out into the streets to launch the Yellow Vests protests that were massive in scale until the government backed down on the fuel taxation.
Also in the mix incidents of violence in the center of Paris and allegations of Anti-Semitism among the protesters.
Last Sunday's move to ban Islamic dresses in school (abayas) is just what the doctor ordered to revive the lagging popularity of Mr. Macron and his Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne.
The cabinet shuffle this summer was called a minor one but the change at the Education Ministry the replacement of "Black Studies" advocate Pap Ndiaye with former government spokesman-insider Gabriel Attal was obviously done to please the Right in France that had been critical of Ndiaye.
And Attal would be the man who made the speech announcing the ban on abayas last Sunday with Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne in attendance.
It was an attempt to attract some of the large bloc of voters on the Right towards the Liberal Capitalist Centrist movement of President Emmanuel Macron.
On Friday Mr. Macron got to play the 'tough guy' on this issue saying he supports schools who may be pressured over the ban on abayas.
Macron saying he is 'intractable" when it comes to any attack on 'secularism' saying that 'secularism' is:
"the basis of the model of the French school"
"the very condition that makes citizenship possible"
The Macron's government's "Law and Order" theme since accusing the "Left" of wanting to bring back "The Terror" of the French Revolution when they protested "pension reform" continues.
If any violence emerges in France like that that dramatized by the Mainstream Media and others in the "January 6th" Tradition a few months ago it will be used against the Left which remains a potent threat to the Liberal Capitalist movement of Mr. Macron.

On Friday the French court system dismissed charges against police in connection with arrest and death of Adama Traore in July 19, 2016.
Traore's sister called for protest next Tuesday saying there had been a "denial of justice".
Also in Marseille a police officer accused of wounding a bystander to the violence on the streets earlier in the summer released from detention stirring up controversy with the victim of the police projectile ("Hedi") speaking of 'a form of injustice".
Getting back to today's protest in Paris the demonstrators taking their message directly to the biased media heading towards the buildings of media outlet BFM-TV in Paris.
This video shows the signs and the flags you hear the musicians and the slogans shouted as the small group moves through the streets...
For now that's the story of France and the Yellow Vests.
