In the Russia-Ukraine conflict a Russian official disputing the accuracy of an International Atomic Energy Agency report that there were "powerful blasts" near the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.


Renat Karchaa from the Russian Rosenergoatom nuclear power engineering company says there were no such blasts close to the plant.


Karchaa sees the report as a provocation and propaganda to discredit Russia as an guarantor of nuclear safety.
