YELLOW VESTS PROTEST IN PARIS SATURDAY JANUARY 28, 2023

As the protest movement against the "pension reform" plan of President Emmanuel Macron appears to be large and widespread there's been a circling of the ranks by Macron, his Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne and cabinet ministers.

The government getting promotional support from mainstream media as they suggest protests and strikes will hurt holiday plans for the French next month.

A PUBLIC OPINION SURVEY THIS WEEK INDICATES 72 PERCENT OPPOSITION TO THE MARCON PENSION SCHEME THAT WILL RAISE RETIREMENT AGE TO 64 AND CHANGE BENEFITS FOR MANY RETIREES.

As was the case with the Yellow Vests just over four years ago the possibility of incidents involving black uniformed anarchists looms large.

Political leaders like Marine Le Pen of the National Rally have repeatedly said the activities of such individuals help the government to win the "information war" with public opinion and serve the interests of Macron and his government.

The Tuesday "sabotage" incident at a railway electrical box that shut down the Gare de l'Est rail station in Paris for 24 hours plus points to the possibility of January 6th style incidents to anger public opinion against opponents of the "pension reform" who now have the upper hand in public support over Macron's government.

The tide of strikes and protest rising in France various sectors including the power industry and refineries impacted by opposition to pension reform.

The "Left" spearheading opposition and attacking National Rally political leaders like Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella who have spoken out passionately against Macron's pension plan.

Marine Le Pen talking parliamentary politics putting pressure on the "Mainstream Right" Les Republicains.    Their 62 members of the National Assembly are the deciding votes if pension reform comes to a vote in the National Assembly.

One option still available to Emmanuel Macron is use of Article 49.3 of France's Constitution passing the legislation without approval by the National Assembly.

PROTESTS OPPOSING THE PENSION REFORM PLAN NOW A DAILY OCCURRENCE IN FRANCE TORCHLIGHT PROCESSIONS IN MANY CITIES AND TOWNS IN RECENT DAYS.

In the streets of Paris more protesters and more police on hand today as the momentum of protest builds over the pension issue.

One protest sign mentioning use of Article 49.3 of the Constitution to force pension reform through without National Assembly approval it's an option that a French President has under Article 49.3 of the Constitution of the "Fifth Republic" adopted in 1958.

That same protest sign also brought up "Blackrock" stressing the connection between Big Banks, Big Money and President Emmanuel Macron.

In Marseille protest today one demonstrator standing at the waterfront was interviewed and at the end of this video a group of protesters standing nearby but this video was taken down by the person who uploaded it.

In the countryside the Yellow Vests carried on in Villeneuve-sur-Lot some highlights from that protest demonstrators getting ready and later at the traffic circle where the weekly protests are held...

I SAW A VIDEO TODAY THAT REQUIRES SOME DISCUSSION.

THE 'OATH KEEPERS' GROUP CREATED HERE IN THE US ASSOCIATED WITH JANUARY 6TH AND SEEN AS A DEN OF INFORMANTS IS ROOTED IN THE NOTION THAT LAW ENFORCEMENT MEMBERS ARE KEEPING THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL OATH.

WELL THIS VIDEO IS LABELED 'POLICE FOR TRUTH' WHEN TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH AND IT SHOWS A PROTEST IN FORCALQUIER IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE TODAY.

HAVE FRENCH AUTHORITIES RESORTED TO THE SAME KIND OF UNDERCOVER OPERATIONS THAT THE FBI HAS USED IN THE US AGAINST GOVERNMENT OPPONENTS USING PEOPLE IDENTIFYING AT LAW ENFORCEMENT MOVING INTO THE PROTESTER RANKS?...

Meanwhile Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne saying that opponents of President Macron's pension scheme are spreading "false information".

Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin claiming that the political Left in France is trying 'to mess up the country'.

This Tuesday will be a major day of strike action and protest in France against the changes to pensions oil refineries and the energy sector in general playing a major role along with railroad workers.    Teachers will participate but perhaps less than they did before.

Also some local government's giving workers the day off to participate in protest the mainstream media trying to make an issue out of that.

France is moving into protest mode and we shall see how serious events will be in the weeks and months ahead and if the government has a strategy to overcome the protests and impose the pension reform scheme or if the protests will have enough traction to succeed.

That's the story of France and the Yellow Vests for this week.
