FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 158: THE THIRD ANNIVERSARY MACRON GOES THIRD JAB TROUBLE IN GUADELOUPE YELLOW VESTS HEARKEN BACK TO ROOTS

Anniversary events this weekend commemorating the shock wave that went through France in November of 2018 as hundreds of thousands even a million people at a time took to the streets and highways of France in a nationwide protest movement.

The Yellow Vest is an item required of all French motorists by law and it became the symbol of a protest aimed at rising gasoline prices as the government of President Emmanuel Macron imposed new taxes and planned more as a "Green" policy.

The Yellow Vests occupied toll booths on French highways that had been sold by the government to private interests that charges high fees to use the roads.      The protesters waived motorists through giving them a free ride.

The Yellow Vests gathered at traffic circles in the towns and countryside and moved down the major streets in the cities including the famed Champs Elysees in Paris.

Much has happened since then today the government trying to maintain energy prices at the lowest possible levels in the face of next April's presidential election.

And then there's the drama surrounding COVID-19.     Those higher numbers of positive tests impacting France but so far not as seriously as neighboring countries like Belgium and Germany as well as other European countries more distant.

This week Macron saying France will not follow the lead of other European countries with a lockdown of the unvaccinated.

The direction Macron appears to be pointing towards based on his Friday comments during a visit to northern France is widespread use of the "third dose".

France's High Authority of Health recommending Friday that the "booster shot" be given to those over the age of 40 six months following their second dose.

Drama in the mainstream media on this protest anniversary an incident involving a "tag" perhaps a banner on a food truck showing President Emmanuel Macron of France as a puppet of Joe Biden who in turn is performing a sex act on Paris Prefect of Police.

The driver and owner of the vehicle arrested as Prefect Didier Lallement made a complaint about being 'insulted'.

On this Third Anniversary of the Yellow Vests Health Freedom protests across all of France including the Indian Ocean territory of Reunion.     This is the rally in St. Denis today...

AND NOW TO THE SITUATION IN GUADELOUPE THE FRENCH CARIBBEAN TERRITORY WHERE BARRICADES WERE ERECTED AND FIRES LIT IN RECENT DAYS REMINICENT OF THE PROTESTS AGAINST THE MILITARY GOVERNMENT IN SUDAN IN RECENT WEEKS.

THIS PROTEST CALLED A RIOT IN FRENCH MEDIA IS SAID TO HAVE COME OUT OF PROTESTS IN OPPOSITION TO THE FORCED VACCINATION OF HEALH CARE WORKERS IN GUADELOUPE.

THE CURFEW IMPOSED AT 6 PM LAST EVENING NOT OBSERVED BY SOME PEOPLE WITH SHOTS SAID TO HAVE BEEN FIRED AT THE POLICE.LOOTING AND FIRES REPORTED OVERNIGHT FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY.

THE FRENCH INTERIOR AND OVERSEAS MINISTERS IN A CRISIS MEETING TODAY AT 6 PM PARIS TIME.    IT HAS ALREADY  BEEN REPORTED THAT POLICE REINFORCEMENTS WILL BE SENT THERE IN THE COMING HOURS.

THE LATEST WORD FROM PARIS IS THAT 2200 POLICE REINFORCEMENTS ARE BEING FLOWN TO THE ISLAND INCLUDING 50 SPECIAL ANTI-TERRORISM POLICE.

French media spoke with a Yellow Vests protester in Paris today.    Marie Huguet has this to say.

She spoke of  France being:

                       "the most taxed country in the world"

   "politicians (who) do not know the problems of the French"

Huguet made reference to an issue that Yellow Vests have brought up from the beginning:

     "We have been asking from the beginning for the RIC"

RIC is a reference to the Citizens Initiative Referendum that would allow a popular vote on public issues by the initiative of the people.

Today in Paris Yellow Vests figure Jerome Rodrigues spoke out about the tense atmosphere in the protest there that included anarchist elements getting into a fight with police...VIDEO LINK
