The New Year in France bringing 6 pm curfews in 15 parts of the country in the name of preventing spread of the coronavirus. Six million people live there. An 8 pm curfew in force for the rest of the country. And police overwhelmed by a massive party in Brittany. The rave attracting some 25-hundred in defiance of the coronavirus restrictions in the country.
Police fined people as they left the event. Some 12-hundred so far as of this morning. At least seven arrests also reported. Two organizers being held by police.
Police fined 6,650 people in France on New Year's Eve and arrested 662 as 100,000 officers were deployed to enforce COVID-19 restrictions in the country.
Late last night police shot a man in Montpellier as he drove a car towards a police blockade enforcing the curfew. He was seriously injured.
The Yellow Vests protests continued today in France with the Paris protest beginning at Wagram and marching through the streets....
