OREGON STANDOFF LATEST:  HAMMONDS RETURN HOME, GIVE THANKS TO GOD, TRUMP, EVERYONE

"Trump as far as I know has been responsible for the 'Buck Stops Here'                                                            stamp. God Bless Him."

Steven Hammond speaks after landing at Burns Municipal Airport, Oregon 7/11/2018

At around 1035 am this morning Pacific time the private jet carrying Dwight and Steven Hammond arrived at Burns Municipal Airport in Harney County, Oregon.

The men were joyously greeted by family members and a crowd of well wishers.   They spoke to the media on the tarmac.

Just 27 hours before they were sitting in Terminal Island Federal Prison in Long Beach,  California when the White House announcement of their pardons came down.

Steven Hammond noted with tears welling up in his eyes:

"I don't know if everybody knows but we received thousands of letters.....at a time when you get to that point a letter means a lot"

Among those in the crowd to greet the Hammonds was Jason Patrick, one of the Oregon Standoff protesters who came to support them in early 2016 and served prison time for his involvement. Patrick wore a LaVoy Finicum t-shirt with his ranch brand on it.  Finicum gave his live in support of the Hammonds at the Oregon Standoff protest.

Steven Hammond was asked about the protest by the media and said simply that they:

"had good intentions.  I don't know how it was received.  I was out of the picture at that point."

Later when the Hammonds headed to Burns Pond for a news conference, a flagger with a stop sign stopped traffic.

Their lawyer J. Morgan Philpot said the Hammonds were 'spooked' by the whole thing and opted to turn back.

Philpot told the media earlier that the Hammonds are seeking a grazing permit and considering what legal steps are needed to make that happen.  It appears they want to get back to their ranching business.

The Associated Press reported that Philpot, who represented Ammon Bundy in both the Oregon and Bunkerville (Nevada) protest cases, is considering the possibility of civil lawsuits.

Earlier at the airport a procession of vehicles carrying family members arrived on the tarmac led by three horses to meet the plane.

The private jet that brought the Hammonds home was that of Lucas Oil's Forrest Lucas, a friend of VP Mike Pence, who's been involved behind the scenes in the process of the pardon.   His involvement reminds us of how the political machine is trying to take the Hammonds and use them for election year gain from President Trump's decision to pardon them.

Its amazing how when the Hammonds first went into prison back in 2016, those now applauding or supporting the pardon were no where to support them.   Instead, it was Ammon Bundy and the Oregon Standoff protesters who took the lead to demand liberty and justice for the Hammonds.

They put the Hammonds on the map to force the political machine to endorse President Trump's action to bring justice in the face of corrupt federal agencies, prosecutors and law enforcement.

Something Trump became intimately familiar with during the election campaign and .into the Presidency and something he confronts even at this very moment.

The Associated Press quoted Cliven Bundy as saying in reaction to the pardons:

"Now we've finally got a President of the United States who is paying attention to what is going on"
