The BBC has published a story of a Russian air strike killing 17 people in a shelter in a city east of Deraa.
Meanwhile, Israel announced an operation conducted overnight Thursday into Friday June 29th that sent humanitarian aid across the border from the Golan into Syria.
It was conducted by the Israel Defense Forces.
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman emphasized that refugees from the fighting will not be allowed to enter Israel.
The Israel Chief of Staff was reported to be discussing Iran and Syria today with the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Joseph Dunford. General Gaby Eisenkot is visiting Washington.
Journalist Peter Hitchens noted in a blog post yesterday that the US has again distanced itself from the rebels in Syria like it did before on March 30, 2017 when Nikki Haley made a statement saying the USA was not interested in regime change but this was suddenly followed by an alleged chemical attack on April 4th...…
On the battlefront in the Deraa region Hezbollah media report a hill and an air defense base west of the city of Deraa have been captured by the Syrian Army's 4th Division while gains continue in the countryside to the east of the city.
