OREGON STANDOFF: LAST DEFENDANT SENTENCED, FEDS WENT TO WAR, BUNDYS CAME IN PEACE

                              "Love Thy Neighbor"

Oregon Standoff Protest Leader Ammon Bundy explains why he came unarmed to the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge to protest on behalf of Dwight and Steven Hammond, ranchers serving five year mandatory terrorism sentences for lighting a backfire to protect their land, in January 2016.

"Go ahead and hate your neighbor, Go ahead and cheat a friend, Do it in the name of heaven, You can justify it in the end......Mount your horses draw your sword, And they killed the mountain people, So they won their just reward....

Now they stood beside the treasure, On the mountain dark and red, Turn the stone and looks beneath it..Peace On Earth was all it said......

"One Tin Solider" song used in the "Billy Jack" movie (1971)

The last defendant in the "Oregon Standoff" was sentenced in Portland today (June 12th) by US District Judge Anna J. Brown.

Blaine Cooper, who cooperated with the prosecution and testified as a prosecution witness, was sentenced to time served (20 months) and three years of supervised release with 7,000 dollars in restitution.

Cooper entered a guilty plea in the Bunkerville Standoff case and is awaiting sentencing in the legal limbo triggered by the federal government's hiding of exculpatory evidence.

The US Attorney in Oregon and current lead FBI agent there issued a statement after the sentencing.

US Attorney Billy Williams, Obama Administration picked and held over by the Trump Administration claimed:

"taking up arms because you don't like how things are done will never be accepted as a lawful way to protest here in Oregon or elsewhere"

The protesters were led by an unarmed man, Ammon Bundy, who turned away militia who came to the protest site as he talked to the media.   He talked like Billy Jack in the movies, but acted like Dr. Martin Luther King in the end and has been vindicated emerging not guilty in both of his court trials  in Oregon and Nevada as an honorable and peace loving man confronted by violence minded federal government forces.

The new lead FBI agent (not the one who led during the protest now retired Greg Bretzing) Renn Cannon claimed:

"We stand with Oregonians committed to finding peaceful solutions and will always work to protect our communities from violent conflict"

The events of January 26, 2016 along Route 395 in Harney County tell another story with FBI Agent W. Joseph Astarita's first shots  (one apparently injuring Ryan Bundy) setting up Oregon State Police to feel threatened and deliver deadly shots that killed LaVoy Finicum.

LaVoy said "you will have to shoot me" as he sought to reach a meeting with Grant County Sheriff Glenn Palmer present, but LaVoy never said to law enforcment "I will have to shoot you".

The FBI led the violence in Oregon in 2016 with its assaults like the "felony traffic stop" of January 26, 2016 and the final assault on the protest site in February.   Their informants also promoted violence within the camp of the protesters.

The court action and statement from Williams appears to set the stage for the presidential pardon of the Hammonds.

The politically connected forces of the "Deep State", "Republican Establishment" etc. etc. like Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke now have the case of the people protesting on the Hammonds behalf behind them.

There should have been a pardon early on in the Trump presidency but that was unacceptable to the inside the Beltway crowd until the legal matters had been settled and the punishment meted out to the lower level Oregon Standoff protesters.

The Bundys and the other Oregon Standoff protesters put the Hammonds case on the map and deserve a major share of credit for any pardon if and when it materializes along with President Trump.

The higher level protest leaders were found not guilty of felony charges by a jury of their peers in the first trial.

The second trial's defendants were in a rigged trial as a result of the first.

The deadly and injurious   (LaVoy Finicum and Ryan Bundy) "felony traffic stop" that rounded the leaders up led to a jury saying they were innocent of felony charges.
