The GOP wants my money to elect people other than Judge Roy Moore to the US Senate in Alabama who of course would actually get in there behind President Trump a lot more than the typical GOP politicians do.

If I respond to this appeal I hurt President Trump.

And by the way when do we get to the President Republicans with some pardon calls for Jerry Delemus and Greg Burleson and Todd Engel, the Bunkerville Standoff prisoners.

If they are in prison you don't need my money or votes Republicans.

If Ammon Bundy can't exercise his Second Amendment right and buy a firearm in this county after not being convicted of a crime you can go pound sand Republican Party.

"Am I supposed to like this, just because I don't like Jeremy Corbyn or Angela Merkel?"

Knee jerk hatred of one major political party is promoted to numb us to the liberalism, political correctness, the abridgment of the Constitution and or values that emanate from the other major political party.

I stopped being fooled by that in recent years so I am no knee jerk Republicans are always right and I don't even vote for them anymore and even though I voted for Donald J. Trump, I don't worship him as a deity.

Hitchens tries to explain to his readers how can a guy (Boris Johnson) who was the mayor of a major left-wing city (London) really be that conservative?

Back to the here and now.....Back to more insanity and rage on display.

I saw something posted on a vehicle here in York, PA today and I had to question why it was posted.

Was it insanity or someone trying to create a false flag?

It read:

Make America Great Again.

Assassinate Nancy and Chuck

Am I reading something here advocating killing Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer from a loony and a nut or some false flag operation here in a Trump voting area?

In Boston there was the "Straight Pride" parade and the counter protest of those offended by it.

Police on hand as the counter-protesters showed their rage towards the "Straight Pride" group.

What's behind all this?    I ask that tonight.   Just like the Proud Boys out in Portland, Oregon coming in and waving the cape before the enraged left-wingers charging into them.  What is going on?

I hope you find some sanity, sobriety and the God of your understanding tonight and beyond.

FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 42:  THE 'REGRETS' OF MACRON BUT THE PROTESTS CONTINUE

During last weekend's G 7 meeting at Biarritz in southwestern France protesters were kept back to towns to the southwest and it was here that the "black blocks' of militants focused their attention rather than peppering themselves in with Yellow Vests.

Across France some 150 protests were held last Saturday from marches through cities to takeovers of toll booths operated by private companies given control of French highways.     That according to "The Yellow Number" Facebook page.

France 2 television interviewed President Emmanuel Macron at the end of the G 7 earlier in the week and asked about the various aspects of the Yellow Vests protests.

Macron expressed his "regrets" citing injuries to protesters and police.

He also noted the "black blocks" involvement in the demonstrations.

But his government continues to move forward with his notions of reforms and pensions will be on the agenda in the coming months among other things.

Yellow Vests took their protest across the border to Geneva, Switzerland today protesting the Macron's government's use of force against Yellow Vests protests using the offices of the United Nations as their venue.   The media reporting hundreds in attendance there.......

NEXTRUSH UNPLUGGED:  SATURDAY NIGHT VERSION  ITALY'S NEXT GOVERNMENT? BORIS THE BETRAYER? AND MORE......

Music Links:

Domenico Modugno making an American TV appearance in the 1950's with Ed Sullivan singing a hit song in the USA and the winning song of the 1958 Eurovision song contest.

Italian politics has been on the table in recent days as the government of the Five Star Movement and the League has fallen.

The future of Italy's government and politics to be determined in the coming days with a Tuesday deadline from Italy's President Sergio Mattarella.

That's when he wants to hear back from the political parties about what they want.

Do they want new elections?   Do they want a new government?

Five political parties matter in Italy right now.

Party number one is the Five Star Movement, currently the largest party in the parliament but projected to have its numbers cut almost in half if new elections were held.    Five Star is for reform and considered to the left of center slightly.

Next up the League of Matteo Salvini called a party of the right but centered in the north of Italy coming into the last election advocating autonomy for the economically rich northern parts of the country.   Now Salvini has broadened his base and leads public opinion polls with his strong stance on immigration and opposition to allowing migrants in.

Salvini wants new elections to enable him to lead the next government in Italy with other parties as his partners instead of the Five Stars.

Third on the list is the mainstream party of the "Left" in Italy, the Democratic Party.   They have held out the notion of governing with the Five Star's in a new government, but with conditions that are pretty steep on the Five Star Movement.

Fourth on the list the mainstream party of the "Right",  Forza Italia.    The pro-European Union crony capitalist once in bed with the Socialists who called himself a "socialist" decades ago leads this group.     None other than Silvio Berlusconi.

FI very much a coalition partner for Mr. Salvini in a new government following elections.

The fifth party polling well enough to win seats and again a potential coalition partner for Salvini in a new is the political party that is called a "right-wing" party but who's roots are in the person of a former Socialist.

The Brothers of Italy inherited the mantle of the Italian Social Movement  (MSI) strong in the poorer parts of southern Italy advocating welfare programs among other things.      Their onetime leader, Alessandra Mussolini.    She left Forza Italia last year, what is her next political move?    She is the granddaughter of Benito Mussolini who founded the Fascist Party out of the Socialist Party way back when.

The Brothers of Italy are led by Giorgia Meloni and they also could be partners with Salvini in some new governmrnt down the road.

YELLOW VESTS FRANCE WEEK 41: G 7 SUMMIT PROTESTS AND THE TRADITION CONTINUES

The Yellow Vests on the streets of Paris again for Week 41 of protests and at other locations across the country.

The procession stepping off at around 215 pm Paris time, 815 am Eastern US time.

But much attention focused on the southwest of France where the kind of globalization the Yellow Vests movement protests against is on full display this weekend at the G7 summit.

Coordinated "green" policies like President Emmanuel Macron's obsession with the wildfires in the Amazon remind us of Macron's domestic agenda of gasoline taxes in the name of "green" that helped to spark the Yellow Vests movement in the first place.

The G 7 meeting is at Biarritz, a resort community on the Atlantic coast near the Spanish border.

Some 13,000 plus police deployed in the area including large numbers of mobile gendarmes and CRS riot police  (six thousand).

Some nine thousand protesters estimated in the area where protests are being allowed to the southwest of Biarritz at Urrugne and Hendaye.   Their numbers appeared to have swelled to some 15-thousand as the day went on Saturday.

The 'black blocs' anarchists in evidence among the protesters with Friday night confrontations involving the anarchists and police.    The two hour fight at the weekend protest camp included the use of tear gas grenades by the police.

Getting back to the Paris protest, Yellow Vests continue to offer a strong message in favor of referendums.       The signs that say 'RIC' are advocating a "Citizens Initiative Referendum".

Reporting from AFP news agency and BFM-TV on today's Paris Yellow Vests includes comments from Olivier Pham, a 48 year old maintenance man who describes himself as being on the "Right".

Pham says the 'RIC' concept works in California and Switzerland saying for France:

"It would be very good.  It would not be anarchy."

Pham also says that he was:

"....shocked by the violence of some police officers..."

at the Yellow Vests protests.

One protester named Annie, age 72, says:

"The price of gas has gone up, the government.....is despising us.    We are being robbed of money for giant lobsters."

Her comments a reference to the former Minister of the Environment Francois Du Rugy.

Du Rugy forced to resign after a French media report on his spending of the taxpayers money for lobster dinners and the refurbishing of his apartment, among other things.

In other parts of France Week 41 included a procession in Le Mans......YELLOW VESTS WEEK 41 LE MANS

And a typical Yellow Vests protest manifested itself at a toll station at La Ciotat on the Mediterranean coast.    The Yellow Vests shutting down the toll collecting operation of a private company given control of the highway by the government.....YELLOW VESTS WEEK 41 TOLL STATION PROTEST LA CIOTAT

This is a two hour video showing the Yellow Vests in Toulouse today.......YELLOW VESTS WEEK 41 TOULOUSE 8/24/2019

Late in the day Saturday (Today) this video stream was coming from southwestern France near Biarritz where protesters were gathered many appearing to be black blocs anarchists....LINK

Summing up the Yellow Vests protests continue with their original issues like high gas prices caused by taxes, tolls imposed on privatized highways and the call for citizen referendums all on the table.

The left-wing elements of the anarchists continue to be around, this time focusing their energies on the G7 summit area itself.

The who, what where why etc. of their activities may be everything from their leftist nature to manipulation by government police and intelligence agencies to discredit the Yellow Vests movement as a whole.

For now, their numbers may be reduced, but the Yellow Vests continue to make their presence known throughout France every Saturday.

NEXTRUSH UNPLUGGED:  MONDAY NIGHT VERSION

Music Links:

Great to be with you on this Monday night as we continue to move forward just like the Syrian army is moving forward in the northwest with the key town of Khan Shaykhun the scene of battle in southern Idlib province.    A link below:

The story is that the jihadists of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham  (HTS) are in the process of being defeated there.    HTS is the new name of Al-Qaeda in Syria.

Another aspect of the story is the story of what happened when a convoy of reinforcements was rolling towards the front.    Turkish backed opposition forces are aligned with HTS and this Turkish convoy was bombed by the Syrian regime as the Turks were trying to reinforce the jihadist side of the battle.

It is being said that three civilians were killed, others injured.

Even the President of the United States has expressed his outrage at the notion of civilian casualties in the fight against "Al Qaeda of Syria" if you will repeating this line that Assad's government, its Russian and Iranian allies are just awful.

The BBC spins the propaganda and why are Western nations like the  US and the UK and others so intent on creating sympathy when the Syrian government tries to fight the "admirers of Osama bin-Laden" in Syria?......LINK

Gibraltar earlier rejected a US request to detain the Iranian tanker that it decided to free.   The US Justice Department issued a warrant Friday to seize the "Grace 1" claiming it was transporting oil to Syria in violation of sanctions.

The local authorities in the British territory cited adherence to European Union sanctions on Iran, which are different from the US ones.

Gibraltar decided to allow the tanker to leave its waters Sunday night and has said it had promises from Iran that no oil would be delivered to Syria.

But Iran's foreign ministry says it has made no such promises.

In addition, the tanker is now flying the Iranian flag and has been renamed the "Adrian Darya 1" with Iran saying it is prepared to use its navy to protect the ship.

NEXTRUSH UNPLUGGED:  SATURDAY NIGHT VERSION

News Link Below:

Welcome aboard you can tap into information from Portland with expectations of developments late afternoon Portland time into the evening at that link above.

Music Links:

Great instrumental music to open up the night as we move towards the end of summer 2019.

My summer routine began to shift dramatically in recent days and it will affect posts here on the blog and reposts to Free Republic.

But posting will continue.    You can sure of that.

Woodstock was deep into its third day 50 years ago tonight with the music as I understand it continuing into Monday morning August 18th at around 8:30.   Jimi Hendrix the final performer offering up his version of our national anthem......

The media was onto the story and it made it to the television news the cutting edge of media 50 year ago.

I linked to CBS the other night and their spin on Woodstock.    The "Huntley-Brinkley Report" on NBC Monday August 18th Chet Huntley introduces the story as reported by Lem Tucker, who ended up working for all three of the big networks during his career.....

NBC-TV WOODSTOCK 8-18-1969

Also the ABC version of Woodstock with the legendary Frank Reynolds intoducing with commentary from the legendary Howard K. Smith.....

ABC-TV WOODSTOCK 8-18-1969

Control population was Howard K. Smith's tagline to Woodstock but we are still here and still surviving with our much greater population 50 years later.

If there's a complaint its about the importation of humanity into our midst from other nations that is the societal irritant of our times.

No violence it was noted in that news reporting but the Antifa leftists in Portland are sitting down in the street as of around 415 to 430 pm Portland Time, 715 to 730 pm Eastern.

Talk of a peace deal in Afghanistan with the US representative holding talks with the Taliban on multiple occasions in recent months.

But the violence continues there with a wedding hall explosion in the capital of Kabul caused by a suicide bomber.

It happened Saturday afternoon Eastern US time and this is the CNN version...LINK

Updating that 63 dead and 180 wounded in the attack in Afghanistan.

Time to say goodnight.     The spin on the Portland protests portrays one side as the aggressor while the other side appears to be committing the acts of violence.

I guess that's the problem with political activism, the consuming rage and anger.   The Antifa seem to be that way.

Its amazing how in Portland the US Attorney got involved and provided law enforcement assistance for the local authorities for what seemed to be a very poor job of maintaining order.

But I do think Mayor Wheeler wants Portland to be a place where business can be done without disruptions.   The business community puts pressure on him in that direction and the Chamber of Commerce stood behind the mayor when he tried to gain authority from city council unsuccessfully to have authority to ban demonstrations.
