Major German automaker Volkswagen will continue to operate next week despite the cutoff of chips made in China by Nexperia.
China cutting off the chips after the Dutch government asserted control over Chinese-owned Nexperia in the Netherlands.
That happened following United States contact with the Dutch foreign ministry.
While Volkswagen can operate for now that may not be the case in the weeks to come.
US President Donald Trump will be in South Korea next week along with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other leaders at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum.
