FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 319*NEW CABINET HAS MANY OF THE OLD FACES*SENEGAL KICKING FRENCH TROOPS OUT*GUINEA OPPOSITION PROTESTS IN PARIS*NEW ECONOMY MINISTER*

This week many of the same old names and faces as new Prime Minister Francois Bayrou announced his cabinet Monday.


Emmanuel Macron loyalists Sebastien Lecornu and Stephane Sejourne remaining in place as Defense and Foreign ministers.



The Justice Minister another Macron insider Gerald Darmanin a onetime Interior Minister.



"Right" politician Bruno Retailleau retaining his post as Interior Minister he held that position in the three-month long Michel Barnier government that was censured out of office earlier this month.

In another sign of declining French influence in Africa Senegal's Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko announcing the closure of foreign military bases 'in the very near future'.


This would mean an end to the French military presence in Senegal.


French military forces in recent years kicked out of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger and just days ago leaving a base in Chad.



The end of French military presence in those countries is occurring alongside an increasing presence of  Russian mercenaries.


France still committed to its base in the northeastern African nation of Djibouti and to providing military support or training for those African nations willing to participate...

AS FAR AS PROTESTS IN PARIS TODAY ONE ON BEHALF OF THE POLITICAL OPPOSITION IN THE AFRICAN NATION OF GUINEA.


THE COUNTRY HAS BEEN RULED BY A MILITARY JUNTA (CNRD) SINCE 2021.

Getting back to the new government and France's challenging budget and debt issues the new Minister of Economy and Finance Eric Lombard is seeking input from all political parties.


Mr. Lombard coming into his position with political label of "Independent".



He was the CEO of the "Deposits and Consignment Fund" (CDC).
