The Liberal Capitalist Globalist government of French President Emmanuel Macron has had the French "Left" in its crosshairs for more than a year now.
While in other countries the economic left-wing factions have declined the "Old Left" still a potent force in French politics 25-30 percent of the popular vote.
France's Muslim minority provides a large chunk of support for the Left.
Many accusations against the Left from President Macron and his government they have even been accused of wanting to bring back "The Terror" associated with the French Revolution.
But in the aftermath of the brutal Hamas attack on Israel last October 7th the government seeking to link statements opposing Israel's military actions and supporting Palestinians made by Leftist politicians with "hate" and "extremism".
