BBC News: "French school resigns over Paris veil row and death threats"
On Wednesday Prime Minister Gabriel Attal talking a controversial scheme to deal with a spiraling budget deficit.
Attal appeared on TF 1 television during the 8 pm News saying that France's generous unemployment benefits will have to be reduced.
Currently those up to age 53 can get up to 18 months of unemployment compensation with 22 and a half months for 53 and 54 year olds and 27 months for those 55 and older.
Attal saying unemployment benefits will be limited to fewer months but not go below 12 months.
Opposition parties were sharply critical of his plan.
Attal talked other matters in the interview including a four-day work week in France emphasizing that the 35-hour work week must be maintained even if there are fewer work days.
He also brought up the notion that people need to be employed in the workforce in order to pay taxes and provide revenue to the government...
