THE YELLOW VESTS PROTEST IN PARIS 3/2/2024
Monday evening the leaders of 20 European nations gathered at the Elysee Palace in Paris (France's White House) for a conference on military support for Ukraine.
There was agreement among many of those nations to send long-range weapons to Ukraine a disturbing sign of escalation of the conflict in and of itself.
This was announced by President Emmanuel Macron at the end of the conference a "ninth coalition of nations" to provide those long-range weapons for Ukraine.
But what caused a splash inside France and around the world Macron's remarks about the potential deployment of troops to Ukraine.
"We will do whatever it takes to ensure that Russia cannot win this war...
There is no consensus today to send ground troops in an official, assumed and endorsed manner.
But dynamically nothing should be excluded"
The remarks to led to clarifications from many of the other leaders present that no decision was made to send troops to Ukraine.
Even the French Foreign Ministry tried to 'clarify' the remarks.
But Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico told media in his country that some unnamed nations expressed the desire to send soldiers into Ukraine.
Lithuania's Defense Minister spoke of NATO troops in Ukraine for training purposes.
In the National Assembly Tuesday Marine Le Pen who leads National Rally Deputies reacting to Macron's comments calling them:
"extremely serious remarks"
Prime Minister Gabriel Attal retorting with the notion that Le Pen and the National Rally are:
"Putin's troops"
ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT THE FRENCH SENATE APPROVING THE TEXT OF ENSHRINING A RIGHT TO ABORTION INTO FRANCE'S CONSTITUTION.
THE 267-50 VOTE WAS FOLLOWED BY PRESIDENT MACRON'S DECISION TO CALL ALL LAWMAKERS OF BOTH CHAMBERS TOGETHER FOR A 'CONGRESS' VOTE ON MONDAY.
A 3/5 MAJORITY OF ALL LAWMAKERS NEEDED TO PASS THE PROPOSAL.
THE LAW ON ABORTION WAS ALREADY SET DURING PRESIDENT MACRON'S FIRST TERM ABORTIONS ALLOWED IN FRANCE DURING THE FIRST 14 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY.
THAT LAW DESCRIBED AS A VICTORY FOR WOMEN'S RIGHTS.
THIS VOTE WILL NOT CHANGE THAT.
IN THE US LAWS LIKE THE ONE IN MISSISSIPPI SETTING AN ABORTION LIMIT AT 15 WEEKS ONE WEEK MORE LIBERAL THAN FRANCE HAVE BEEN DENOUNCED AS HOSTILE TO WOMEN'S RIGHTS.
Politicians inside and outside the government wanting to be seen at the Salon de agriculture in Paris this week.
On Friday the Minister of Ecological Transition Chrstophe Bechu and Agriculture Minister Marc Fesneau were confronted with whistles and eggs.
When she visited the agricultural show Wednesday National Rally leader of the National Assembly and 2027 Presidential frontrunner Marine Le Pen stressed her party's commitment to giving farmers a good price for their goods.
The would happen through government intervention if needed to force large companies to pay higher prices for French agricultural goods.

In Paris this afternoon a rally held by "Les Patriotes" a group that broke away from the National Rally of Marine Le Pen.
The protest today called a:
"Mobilization of Peasants and Citizens"
In spite of the rain a crowd that looked to be in the thousands in attendance.
A rally held with the inside of a truck for a speaking platform and a large awning for the crowd.
A rally with a message designed to include the grievances of the farmers over "Green" regulations and cheap imports...

Today's "Yellow Vests" march fronted by yellow banners the first banner calling for:
"Fiscal Justice"
"Social Justice"
The French flag displayed a shouting of the slogans "Macron" figured prominently in them.
One slogan called for President Emmanuel Macron to go to prison.
Drums in today's procession plenty of umbrellas in the rain.
The group of protesters 100 or so...
Meanwhile in Corsica "a protest for the fights of the Corsican people" held by supporters of Corsican independence...
This separatist protest was disrupted as a dozen hooded individuals with painters outfits and breathing apparatus decided for whatever reason (planted people?) to clash with police...VIDEO CLIP
