This week Prime Minister Gabriel Attal tried to draw Marine Le Pen into a debate on agricultural issues in the midst of the ongoing farmers protests.
The leader of the National Rally in France's National Assembly and likely opponent of Attal in the 2027 Presidential Election declining such a debate.
Instead she said Attal should debate Jordan Bardella the National Rally's President and leader of the party's list for the European Parliament elections in June.
The Agricultural Show came to Paris Friday but so did protesting farmers staging an event with a convoy of tractors...

FRENCH INTERIOR MINISTER GERALD DARMANIN MOVING QUICKLY THURSDAY ARRESTING IMAM MAHJOUB MAHJOUBI AND EXPELLING HIM BACK TO TUNISIA.
MAHJOUBI CAME UNDER SCRUTINY FOR RECENT SERMONS SAID TO PROMOTE DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN AND TENSIONS WITH JEWS AND JIHADIST RADICALIZATION.

Today President Emmanuel Macron trying to make a splash at the Agricultural Show in Paris saying he offers the way out of the grievances of the farmers caused by Free Market Global Capitalism undercutting the livelihoods of French farmers.
"Green" policies have also forced farmers to keep land out of production and Macron was denying to the media that he had invited the "Earth Uprisings" environmentalist group to participate in a debate at the show.
In the end that "Great Debate" was cancelled.
The farm show became the center of protest all day long with Macron's presence.
The riot police were highly visible as Macron arrived and remained active all day long...
Protesting farmers letting Macron know they were there the riot police keeping them away from the French president there some clashes during the day inside the exhibition hall...

In the end Mr. Macron's visit to the show involved an improvised debate as he spent the day at the show the farmers showing their displeasure with Mr. Macron and his policies.

That was the shout from one protesting farmer at the ag show today.
Macron for his part singled out protesters who offered him the jeers and derision suggesting they did not want to debate him...
